Patent number: 8820585Abstract: A foaming assembly includes a porous foaming element, a liquid chamber and an air chamber. The porous foaming element has an air inlet, a liquid inlet and an outlet. The porous foaming element has at least two zones of different pore sizes. The liquid chamber is in flow communication with the porous foaming element. The liquid chamber has a volume that is movable between an at rest postion to an activation position. The air chamber is in flow communication with the porous foaming element. The air chamber has a volume that is movable between an at rest position to an activation position. Liquid and air are forced into the porous foaming element under pressure wherein they mix to form foam which exits through the outlet. A dispenser may include a foaming assembly and a liquid container.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2013Date of Patent: September 2, 2014Assignee: Pibed LimitedInventors: Stewart Banks, Christopher James Lang, Dean Philip Limbert

Patent number: 8814005Abstract: A foam assembly connectable to a liquid container includes a main pump body, a resiliently deformable piston dome, an air chamber, a liquid chamber, a mixing zone and a porous member. The main pump body has an exit nozzle with the porous member therein. The air chamber and the liquid chamber are each defined by the piston dome and the main pump body. The liquid chamber has a liquid inlet valve and a liquid outlet valve. The mixing zone is in flow communication with the air chamber and the liquid chamber. The volume of the air chamber and the liquid chamber are each dependent on the position of piston dome and during an activation stroke the piston moves from the at rest position to the depressed position and responsively the volume of the air chamber and the volume of the liquid chamber are reduced.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2012Date of Patent: August 26, 2014Assignee: Pibed LimitedInventors: Stewart Banks, Christopher James Lang, Dean Philip Limbert, David Michael Ross Creaghan

Patent number: 8800815Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a container for flowable material configured to be installed in a counter below an access hole. The container includes a first deformable portion and a second deformable portion. The first deformable portion defines a first cavity and has a sealable first cavity inlet. The second deformable portion defines a second cavity and is in flow communication with the first cavity. The first deformable portion is configured to deform to fit into the access hole when substantially no flowable material is therein and the second deformable portion configured to deform to fit through the access hole when substantially no flowable material is therein. The disclosure also includes a method of installing a container of flowable material in a counter below an access hole.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2013Date of Patent: August 12, 2014Assignee: Pibed LimitedInventors: Robert Butler, Laura Anne Hay, Efthimia Ioannou, Adela Walczak, Stewart Banks, Christopher James Lang, Dean Philip Limbert

Publication number: 20140120178Abstract: The present invention provides a multi-component encapsulated reactive formulation comprising a mixture of two or more dry powder components, where each dry powder component is formed from a phase inversion process involving vigorous mixing. The dry powder is stabilized by hydrophobic colloidal particles, which assist in generating stable “dry water” microdroplets. One dry powder component comprises hydrophobic colloidal particles encapsulating microdroplets comprising an aqueous solution of one reactant, and the at least one other dry powder component comprises hydrophobic colloidal particles encapsulating microdroplets comprising an aqueous solution of another reactant. When the encapsulated formulation is agitated such that the encapsulates are broken, the encapsulates rupture and the two aqueous solutions undergo a reaction upon contact.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 25, 2013Publication date: May 1, 2014Applicant: Pibed LimitedInventors: John David Hines, Bernard Paul Binks, Pierre Bruno Grascha

Patent number: 8580861Abstract: The present invention provides preservative compositions suitable for replacing, partially or in totality, conventional preservatives in skin care and hygiene cosmetic or pharmaceutical products. The preservative formulations include an organic carboxylic acid present in a concentration from about 0.01 to about 30 wt./wt. % of the formulation, an alcohol present in a concentration from about 0.01 to about 60 wt./wt. % of the formulation. The formulations include an inorganic salt present in a concentration from about 0.01 to about 80 wt./wt. % of the formulation, and a chelating agent present in a concentration from about 0.01 to about 20 wt./wt. % of the formulation.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 2008Date of Patent: November 12, 2013Assignee: Pibed LimitedInventors: Pierre Bruno Grascha, Mylene Battut

Patent number: 8427323Abstract: A group monitoring system for dispenser usage compliance is provided. The system is for a predetermined group of interest in a predetermined facility type. A dispenser data collection system is operably connected to a plurality of dispensers and is capable of providing information. The information includes a unique dispenser identifier and a number of dispenser usage events. The information from the data collection system is received and the predetermined group within which each dispenser is associated is determined. The number of dispenser usage events is determined. A benchmark which corresponds to dispenser usage opportunities particular to the predetermined group and particular to the predetermined time period is determined. The dispenser usage compliance index particular to the predetermined group and particular to the predetermined time period is determined by dividing the dispenser usage events for the predetermined group and the predetermined time period by a denominator which equals the benchmark.Type: GrantFiled: June 25, 2010Date of Patent: April 23, 2013Assignee: Pibed LimitedInventors: Paul Alper, Shaun Kerry Matthews

Patent number: 8297475Abstract: A pump for dispensing foam that includes a pump head having a mixing chamber and a porous member. The pump head includes a tube and diaphragm. The pump includes a cap having a body defining a cavity that receives the tube. The cap is connected to the diaphragm to define an air chamber communicating with the mixing chamber. The pump includes a spring system received in the tube and cavity. The tube, cavity, and spring system define a liquid chamber that communicates with the mixing chamber. The spring system includes a spring positioned to be compressed such that liquid is urged from the liquid chamber to the mixing chamber and the diaphragm is configured to be compressed such that air is drawn from the air chamber to the mixing chamber. The liquid and air commingle into a mixture that is pushed through the porous member to form a foam.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 2009Date of Patent: October 30, 2012Assignee: Pibed LimitedInventors: Dean Philip Limbert, Shaun Kerry Matthews
