Abstract: A table-top picture frame is disclosed which is formed with detachable front and rear sections joined by a coupling system which permits ready separation. The frame has a supporting leg which is pressed into a groove on one of the two sections of the frame, thus becoming the table-top support for the frame. This leg, if removed from the groove, can be inserted into another groove between the two sections of the frame at their juncture, in order to pry them apart.

Abstract: This device concerns a hook for clamping together two panels for making picture holders or similar objects, and to which a frame can be fitted. One of the basic features of the hook according to this invention is that a frame can be formed directly on the picture holder, one side at a time, obviating the need for the frame to be made beforehand.

Abstract: A panel to be applied is disclosed which is back of a picture frame for retaining the picture and its protective panel. This is achieved by making at least the width and/or length, greater than the recess of the frame in which rests the picture and the protective retaining panel. Along the periphery of the recess, the frame has a groove into which is inserted the edge of the panel while a substantially central portion engages the protective panel to retain the panel and the picture against removal through the recess of the frame.

Abstract: The picture frame described herein is particularly sturdy and economic in as much as the framework (1) and support plane (2) on to which the image (3) is placed and the transparent plane (4) are held together by blocking elements (7) independently of the framework (1), and the framework (1) and all the other components are attached to one another by means of coupling elements (6) which by gripping onto the support plane (2) constitute the coupling elements for supporting the entire frame.

The picture frame also includes a plurality of clips for securing the back panel, photograph and front member together. The frame also includes a groove formed in an inside edge, the groove being dimensioned to receive the clips. A support element for the picture frame includes a substantially U-shaped lower part which is received by the groove formed in the picture frame and a rear extension member which is joined to and extends from the lower part. The lower part includes a curved front wing portion and a curved back wing portion, the curved front wing portion including a protrusion which is adapted to rest against the inside edge of the frame.

Abstract: A table top support for a picture frame includes a U-shaped lower portion, an inwardly sloping portion joined to the lower portion and an extended portion joined to the inwardly sloping portion. The table top support is adapted to support a picture frame having a back panel and a front transparent cover disposed adjacent to the back panel. The U-shaped lower portion of the table top support includes a front piece and a rear piece. The rear piece has a greater height than the front piece. The inwardly sloping portion extends towards the center of the back panel of the picture frame and engages the back panel. The extended portion is disposed substantially at a right angle to the back panel of the frame.

Abstract: A clip for portrait frames and for framing components in general includes a metal strip that deforms elastically and is so shaped as to wrap around one edge of a portrait frame, a first terminal part of the clip is in contact with the front surface of the portrait frame, and a second terminal part of the clip, at the opposite end to the former, is engageable in a slot formed in the outer surface of the back part of the frame.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an assembly in two parts with which to construct frames for pictures, prints and photographs, et cetera.The said two component parts are: a wooden or similar or plastic material strip that extends longitudinally and is essentially rectangular in shape, this having over the full length thereof a slit that is also rectangular; and an essentially V shaped body that can be elastically deformed and is provided with two U shaped limbs, each of which defines a tooth.With this particular assembly it is extremely easy both to insert the subject to be framed and to eventually replace it with another.
