Abstract: This disclosure describes systems and methods that facilitate generating recommendations by traversing a node graph. For example, recommendations may be generated for a node in the node graph by running a plurality of walks through the node graph and tracking the nodes visited by the walks. For example, a visit count or score may be maintained and/or updated for each node as the walks traverse through the node graph. The walks may be terminated after a defined amount of nodes in the node graph have visit counts or scores that satisfy a criterion. Content corresponding to nodes with the highest visit counts or scores may be recommended.

Abstract: The described implementations enable a seller to sell items through multiple e-commerce channels without having to maintain independent merchant accounts at each channel. For example, a seller may sell items directly and through a management service. When a user request to purchase an item from the seller through the management service is received, the management service sends the purchase information to the seller so that the seller can complete the purchase as if the purchase were being made directly with the seller. Upon completion of the purchase, the seller provides a confirmation back to the management service and provides the item directly to the user.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems and methods that enable attribution information to be obtained and associated with digital items, also referred as representations, as well as enable supplemental information to be associated with the representations. In some implementations, a user may request to use a representation and the system may determine that attribution information is to be obtained from a rights holder and/or provider of the representation. When the attribution information is obtained it is associated with the representation that is available for use by the user.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems and methods that facilitate generating recommendations by traversing a node graph. For example, a cluster of nodes in a node graph may be determined for a target node in the node graph based at least in part on a proximity of the nodes in the cluster to the target node in the node graph. A plurality of walks through a node graph may be tracked, and a visit count or score for the target node may be increased for each visit to a node in the cluster. The walks may be terminated after a defined amount of walks have been performed or a defined amount of nodes in the node graph have scores that satisfy a criterion. Content corresponding to nodes may be recommended based on scores or visit counts.

Abstract: Described are systems and methods for determining session intent of a user. Different users can use a network-based application in many different ways based on, for example, the user's purpose for using the application, the device on which the user is executing the application, the user themselves, date, time, location, etc. Through the collection of user activities during a user session, the intent of a user session can be determined. Once determined, content provided through the application can be further personalized to correspond to the determined session intent.

Abstract: Described is a system and method for enabling visual search for information. With each selection of an object included in an image, additional images that include visually similar objects are determined and presented to the user.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for generating reminder options that are presented to a user when a user browses to a content item to view the item and then browses away from the item. For example, a user may be presented with one or more content items, such as images, advertisements, etc., on a display of a user device. The content item, when interacted with by the user, results in the user being provided with an additional content item, such as a webpage, associated with the content item. If the user selects a back button, or other navigation control that results in a request being sent to navigate away from the additional content item and back to the previously presented content items, rather than just presenting the same previously presented content items again, a reminder option may be presented allowing the user to indicate whether the user desires to receive a later reminder about the additional content item and/or the object indicated in the additional content item.

The same object may have vastly different meanings (context) to different individuals based on how they experience the object. Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying an interesting feature in displayed content are presented. In response to a user's direction to identify an interesting feature of content displayed on the user's computing device, an image capture operation is conducted. The image capture operation captures some of the content displayed on the computing device and rendered to a working image. One or more processing passes are conducted on the working image to reduce various aspects of the working image. Remaining features in the working image, after the one or more processing passes, are identified and at least one feature is identified as a selected feature. A bounding box of the selected feature is mapped to the captured image, and a sub-image of the captured image as determined by the mapped bounding box is used as an interesting feature of the captured image.

With each selection of a search term, additional search terms are dynamically selected and presented to the user in conjunction with results matching the currently selected search terms. Likewise, a selected search term may be tokenized and a graphical token presented to the user to represent the selected search term.

Abstract: A system for and a method of using user-entered information to return more meaningful information in response to Internet search queries are disclosed. A method in accordance with the present invention comprises managing a database in response to multiple user inputs and displaying search results from the database in response to a search query. The search results include a results list and supplemental data related to the search query. Managing the database includes, among other things, re-ranking elements in the results list, storing information related to relevancies of elements in the results list, blocking a link in the results list, storing links to documents related to the search query, or any combination of these. The supplemental data include descriptions of or indices to one or more concepts related to the search query.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems and methods for matching user provided images that include representations of items with sellers of those items. A management service, as described herein, may provide a web site where users can post images, view images, share images, correspond with other users, etc. The management service may identify items represented in the images and determine one or more sellers that offer those items for sale. When another user requests to view the user provided image, the image, seller information identifying the seller determined to sell the item represented in the image, and/or a purchase control that may be selected by a user to initiate a purchase with the seller is presented.

Abstract: Described are systems and methods for establishing and generating collections of sets that contain object identifiers based on user provided annotations for the object identifiers. A set may include one or more object identifiers and each object identifier may include one or more user provided annotations. Annotations from all object identifiers within a set are processed to form a set profile signature representative of the set. The set profile signatures are then compared between different sets to identify similar sets. Similar sets are included in a collection. Utilizing set profile signatures for a set formed based on user provided annotations provides useful relationships between sets that might otherwise not exist.

Abstract: Described are systems and methods that facilitate visual search for and price filtering of information. For example, rather than requiring a user to select a pre-defined price range (e.g., “under $25,” $25 to $50,” “$50 to $100”) for filtering, a user may price filter search results by specifying a single price filtering value around which the search results are filtered. The range around the single price filtering value is dynamically selected based on, for example, the search results being filtered, the past purchase history of the user, past user search history, etc.
