Publication number: 20040231136Abstract: In a rolling process, the level of rolling performed by a rolling mill for one operation is set to 1 &mgr;m to 20 &mgr;m. A magnesium substrate is rolled by rollers while being heated by a thermostatic chamber. As a result, there is manufactured a high-quality magnesium sheet which is less susceptible to influence of oxidation, which realizes a high internal loss, prevention of a drop in sensitivity, and low distortion, and which has a thickness of 30 &mgr;m to 100 &mgr;m. Further, as a result of the magnesium sheet being formed into a semi-dome shape or a dome shape, the sheet can be inexpensively manufactured as a speaker for high-tone playback. In particular, in the case of a magnesium diaphragm into which a dome section and an edge section are integrally formed, high-quality sound can be played back in a high frequency range without involvement of a drop in sensitivity.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 12, 2004Publication date: November 25, 2004Applicant: PIONEER CORPORATION, TOHOKU PIONEER CORPORATIONInventors: Hiroyuki Tomiyama, Masatoshi Sato, Yoshimi Kudo, Yuichi Kasahara

Publication number: 20030188919Abstract: A speaker's surround to be attached to an edge of a diaphragm in a speaker system is provided, which is capable of keeping its predetermined shape while repeating elastic deformation for accommodating large amplitude vibration of the diaphragm. Further, the surround is highly durable to withstand the repeated large amplitude vibration, and which can achieve high sound pressure levels. The surround for a speaker system includes a surround piece made of a rubber mold and a base member embedded in the surround piece. The base member is obtained by soaking a cloth material made of cotton or aramid fiber with a thermosetting resin such as phenol resin, and press-formed with heat into a predetermined shape. The surround thus has enhanced its shape maintaining capability.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 24, 2003Publication date: October 9, 2003Applicant: Pioneer Corporation & Tohoku Pioneer CorporationInventors: Takashi Suzuki, Masatoshi Sato

Publication number: 20030118207Abstract: A plurality of heat conduction bodies comprising a metallic material are located with a space held between each other, and attached with a connection with at least one of a voice coil bobbin comprising an insulating material and a voice coil. Further, one end of each heat conduction body is connected to a center cap comprising a metallic material. When the voice coil generates heat, the heat can be radiated by transmitting it to the center cap through the heat conduction body. Additionally, the heat conduction body with a shape of band is attached with a space held between each other, and the voice coil bobbin is formed with an insulating material, so that an eddy current caused by a magnetic field in a magnetic gap can be restrained from occurring.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 18, 2002Publication date: June 26, 2003Applicant: PIONEER CORPORATION AND TOHOKU PIONEER CORPORATIONInventor: Yoshimi Kudo

Publication number: 20020175634Abstract: A drive device for a light-emitting panel that is capable of adjusting the anode power source voltage to be applied to anode leads of the light-emitting panel to a suitable voltage value with low power consumption and in a reliable fashion. A prescribed anode lead of the anode leads of the light-emitting panel is designated as the anode lead that is to be the subject of detection. The voltage value on this anode lead which is the subject of detection is input as the forward voltage value only while display is being performed in accordance with prescribed information data to cause drive current to be supplied to at least the anode lead that is the subject of detection, and the anode power source voltage is adjusted in accordance with this forward voltage value.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 23, 2002Publication date: November 28, 2002Applicant: PIONEER CORPORATION and TOHOKU PIONEER CORPORATIONInventors: Shinichi Ishizuka, Hideo Ochi, Masaki Murakata, Takayoshi Yoshida

Publication number: 20020051414Abstract: A stable rewritable multi-layer information recording medium capable of suppressing noises and a recording apparatus for the same. The multi-layer information recording medium is capable of recording/rewriting information, provided with a plurality of recording layers sequentially layered through spacer layers. Each recording layer is made of a material that changes reflectance upon irradiation of a beam of light, each recording layer is provided with alternately and adjacently aligned information rewritable regions and pre-pit regions where predetermined information has been written. Average reflectance of the rewritable regions is different from average reflectance of the pre-pits regions. In this construction, the pre-pit regions have recording marks that lessen a difference between the average reflectance of the rewritable regions and the average reflectance of the pre-pit regions.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 22, 2001Publication date: May 2, 2002Applicant: Pioneer Corporation and Tohoku Pioneer CorporationInventor: Hiroki Kuribayashi
