Abstract: The rotary transfer device assembly of the present invention has a cylindrical-shaped rotary transfer device, which rotates about a central shaft. About the circumference of the rotary transfer device are a number of chambers, each of which can accept a single projectile as it passes through a feed aperture. As the rotary transfer device rotates, it transports the projectiles from the feed aperture to the breech from where the projectile can be launched from the barrel of the launching device.

Abstract: A method of firing a paintball marker and dual trigger mechanism for a paintball marker are disclosed. The dual switch includes a first and a second trigger position sensors configured and arranged to detect the position of said trigger. A circuit is operatively connected to the first and second trigger position sensors and the projectile firing mechanism of the paintball marker. The circuit is configured to initiate a firing operation with said projectile firing mechanism when the first and second trigger position sensors indicate that the trigger has been depressed. The method includes the steps of detecting the position of the trigger with the first trigger position sensor and the second trigger position sensor and initiating a firing operation when the first and second trigger position sensors indicate that the trigger has been depressed.

Abstract: A paintball marker (12) has an air powered generator (10) to provide electrical power. A compressed gas conduit (18) is connected to the marker body (12) with compressed gas flowing therethrough. The gas flow is converted to electricity, such as by an impeller (52) that is mounted to a first end of a rotating shaft (48) with a magnet (50) mounted to a second end of a rotating shaft (48) with a coil (45) positioned proximal to the magnet (50) to create electricity upon rotation of the shaft (48) due to flow of compressed gas past the impeller (52). The created electricity can be used to power electrically powered components on board the marker (12) or recharge batteries (24) therein.

Abstract: The rotary bolt (100) of the present invention has a cylindrical-shaped bolt assembly, which rotates about a central shaft 130. About the circumference of the bolt (100) are a number of chambers (110), each of which can accept a single projectile (112) as it passes through a feed aperture (107). As the bolt (100) rotates, it transports the projectiles (112) from the feed aperture (107) to the breech (104) from where the projectile (112) can be launched from the barrel (106) of the launching device (102).
