Abstract: A water closet fitting including an annular flange, a cylindrical sleeve attached and extending outward of the flange, and a removable seal for temporarily sealing the closet fitting during construction and volumetric pressure testing of a drainage system to which the closet fitting is connected. The closet fitting prevents material during construction of the drainage system from falling into the drainage system and obstructing it.

Abstract: An all plastic floor drain including a rigid plastic connector body and a rigid plastic strainer plate that is received in an annular recess in the connector body. The strainer plate includes a plurality of positioning pins that extend from the lower surface thereof and the annular recess in the connector body includes a corresponding number of positioning apertures to receive the positioning pins. Preferaby, there is free movement between the positioning pins and the positioning apertures when the pins are first inserted in the apertures, but one of the other of the pins or the apertures is tapered so that there is an interference fit as the strainer plate approaches its final position relative to the connector body, to securely connect the strainer plate and the connector body and to provide a substantially flat upper surface level with the surface of the floor. The use of all plastic parts and the absence of metallic connectors avoids corrosion.

Abstract: This invention provides an improved and simplified tool for rotating a cylindrical object as conventionally accomplished by a pair of pliers or a pipe wrench, but protecting the circumference of the object from damage. A standard length of rod having a polygonal cross section the sides of which intersect at sharply defined fulcrum points, generally square or hexagonal, from a conventional socket wrench set will make it perform the additional function as a multipurpose tool simply by extending an axial slit inwardly from one end to receive thereinto a flexible strap forming a loop about the cylindrical object. The polygonal shape provides fulcrum corners gripping the strap as it is wrapped about the rod to tightly grip and rotate the cylindrical object and thus prevent circumferential slip which together with elasticity in the strap significantly reduces the leverage necessary to rotate the cylindrical objects with small diameter rods.

Abstract: A plastic molded laundry interface box serving as a connection junction box between plumbing connections in a wall and a washing machine is integrally provided with features including hinged mounting brackets, reversible mounting positions for connection to downward or upward extending water pipes, preformed holes for adaption to multiple mounting postures having removable insert plugs in nonused holes, and cover plate structure permitting adjustment for various thickness walls. These features are coordinated to permit installation in the least amount of time without special tools and to facilitate storage in limited space while conforming to various locations of inwall plumbing pipes of different sizes. The preferred embodiment is a one piece integral plastic box with plastic springs attaching the hinged brackets thereto.

Abstract: A flush cut handsaw has a generally planar handle oriented in a plane perpendicular to and parallel to the saw blade axis, or saw tooth edge, and on one side of the blade so that the saw may be manually used in a conventional sawing mode with the saw blade riding on and parallel with the floor surface. The saw is particularly useful in cutting off plastic plumbing pipes flush with the floor surface and in other circumstances where a smooth, even cut without slant or skew is required.

Abstract: A belt supported tool carrier is formed from a single plastic strip bent into a cylinder by overlapping ends having belt receiving slits therein. Two or more slits in each of the overlapping ends of the plastic strip permit different size cylindrical diameters to be formed from a single strip, thus accommodating different tool shaft sizes.

Abstract: Plastic plumbing joint assemblies of a universal nature are made available by this invention to provide with a single coupling unit construction a variety of different functions including clean-out access, pipe end dust covers or vents, drain assemblies, threaded pipe to plastic couplings, flush floor or wall mount, snap-in friction fit or permanent solvent welded installation, etc. The integral plastic plumbing coupling joint unit has an internally threaded barrel assembly and outside smooth cylindrical surface mating inside a plastic pipe. If flush fit thereon, a thin rim circumferential flange fits on a floor surface with a flush removable center closure plug for flush mount on a wall. A lower skirt below the threaded barrel presenting a smooth cylindrical inner surface can receive a plastic pipe internally. A thin cover plate or drain plate can be held on by one screw for flush floor mount.

Abstract: This invention provides a portable carrying case for circular sawblades useful for packaging display and permanent storage of the blade by the end user. The case is inexpensively formed from a single sheet of plastic to form therein two hinge lines defining a pair of cover panels separated by a base panel, forming a booklike casing for storing the sawblades on a stub extending inwardly from one cover panel. A plastic manually deformable latch locks the two covers closed in place over the sawblades, until access is desired. A carrying handle extends from one cover edge for transport while the cover panels are latched in closed position.

Abstract: A ringlike shaped resuable gasket of rubberlike material such as polyvinyl chloride capable of returning to its original shape for sealing the joint between a drainage pipe and a toilet bowl seals the toilet bowl horn at a central aperture sealing portion shaped to flexibly engage the horn to replace conventionally used wax sealing rings and the like. It may be installed in hot or cold weather conditions and resued when the toilet bowl is removed and replaced. A thin web portion integrally extending from the central sealing portion mates between the mounting flange surface and toilet bowl to supplement the central sealing surface, and preferably has offset tapered concentric ridges on both sides. A downwardly extending outer rim engages the flange for holding in place frictionally. Mating bolt apertures smaller than the bolts hold the bolts in place fully extended for mounting the toilet bowl.
