Abstract: A container for transporting, storing, and/or paying-out welding wire from a contained wire coil without tangling, and having flexible straps each extending between the lowermost and upper parts of the container wall passing through a second opening of an anti-entangling device and along a path between said wire coil and said wall. The anti-entangling device rests on the top of the wire coil and descends by gravity as the welding wire is paid-out. The anti-entangling device has a first opening through which said wire passes and respective second openings through each of which a flexible strap passes. The second openings are opposingly located in the anti-entangling device loop about the device's first central opening so that the flexible straps are positioned by the second openings to contact the top surface of the wire coil.

Abstract: A fan guard for a condenser unit of an air conditioner which supports the fan motor made of wire formed into a plurality of concentric rings or rectangles, or a spiral, secured to a spaced plurality of first radially-oriented elements each having at its peripherally-positioned end an orifice for fastening the guard to the unit and to an interspaced plurality of second radially-oriented elements each having at its end, closest to the fan guard's center, an orifice for fastening the motor to the guard, a third element extending all across the guard, and a sturdy ring affixed to at least the first and second elements proximate to the center. The guard preferably is convex whose wire elements have an elongated cross-sectional shape with lower airflow resistance. The fan guard has low fabrication and materials costs and allows use of motors with lower energy consumption for the same airflow efficiency.
Abstract: A low-cost totally recyclable container made of corrugated cardboard for packaging a large mass of coiled welding wire is disclosed. The improved container minimizes the costs of packaging and avoids the need of large volumes for transportation and storage of empty containers to and from the welding wire manufacturing plant and at the welding plant. The container in kit form or assembled with or without the wire coil includes a wire retaining device of simple and inexpensive design to press down on the top of the coil of wire when in the container without binding against the inner walls of the container while preventing the wire which is arranged in a multitude of layers of wire loops from tangling during transportation, storage, and unwinding while providing effective means for smooth and uninterrupted payout of welding wire to automatic welding machines.
