Patents Assigned to Plastics Research Corporation
  • Patent number: 9049777
Abstract: A conductive thermoset material is provided that provides shielding against electromagnetic radiation. The conductive thermoset material includes an intermixed conductive material dispersed essentially throughout. An antisettling additive is present in the conductive thermoset material to support dispersion, optionally, homogenous dispersion of the conductive material in the resin. The conductive thermoset material is formable into one or more articles. The articles may be transportable and resistant to significant conductivity changes by contact with other surfaces.

  • Patent number: 6401408
Abstract: A stake having first and second generally planar members intersecting along a common longitudinal axis extending from a leading end adapted for ground penetration to a trailing end with a striking surface includes a plurality of steps toward the trailing end adapted for supporting posts of varying diameters. Support pads extend in a circumferential direction about the longitudinal axis from the steps to provide a support surface for securing a posts of varying diameters and/or shapes with a fastener. In one embodiment, the stake includes a number of holes extending through at least one of the first and second members and the first and second members include scalloped edges with a common apex at the leading end. In another embodiment, the second member includes a triangular portion with an apex displaced relative to the apex of the first member which may include a triangular or trapezoidal portion.

  • Patent number: 5971176
Abstract: A display rack supported by a primary rack is disclosed. The display rack may include an I-beam connector for connecting the display rack to the bottom of an I-beam of the primary rack. Alternatively, the display rack may include an extension which has holes for receiving fasteners that are used to secure the display rack 10 to a primary rack. The display rack includes an end plate secured to a distal end of a center support. The center support has a connector at its proximal end for connection to the primary rack. A lateral support element is connected to the center support and the end plate. The lateral support element preferably includes right and left side portions and a transverse portion. The transverse portion extends parallel to the end plate while right and left side portions are parallel to one another to provide lateral support for strips of material retained in the display rack.

  • Patent number: 5601279
Abstract: A modular fence construction for use with a pair of posts installed in a ground mass. The posts are laterally spaced from each other and have at least one transverse support member affixed thereto. The modular fence construction comprises a plurality of pickets and at least one transverse rail affixed to the plurality of pickets. The transverse rail includes a channel adapted to receive the at least one transverse support member. The plurality of pickets and the at least one transverse rail are formed as a unitary piece and are adapted to mate with like unitary pieces to provide the modular fence construction.

  • Patent number: 4093072
Abstract: A variable attenuation support system for a payload. A base support and a payload support are separated. A plurality of mounting pads are affixed to the base support, one such pad substantially at each corner of a first imaginary shaped plane. A plurality of mounting pads are affixed to the payload support, one such pad substantially at each corner of a second imaginary shaped plane which is similar in shape to, but larger than, and parallel to, the first plane. The planes are spaced apart and are relatively centered with corresponding sides parallel. A pair of pads are formed at each of the corresponding corners of the planes. An adjustable shock mount is provided for each of the pairs of pads. Each adjustable shock mount comprises a plurality of separable resilient shock absorbers, means for connecting a first one of the shock absorbers between the corresponding pair of pads, and means for releasably locking at least a second one of the shock absorbers in between the corresponding pair of pads.
