Abstract: A beverage container assembly includes a base, a beverage container, and a sealable cap. The beverage container includes an open end and a closed end opposite the open end. The open end of the beverage container includes an external thread. The sealable cap includes an internal thread and is disposed on the open end of the beverage container creating a sealed opening. The base is disposed on the closed end of the beverage container and the cap seals the open end of the beverage container.
Abstract: A plastic container with a sensing or communication feature includes a sensor. In an embodiment, the sensor may include a piezo electric disc. The sensor may be connected to a surface of the plastic container or may be at least partially embedded within a wall of the plastic container.
Abstract: A plastic container includes a neck portion, a sidewall portion, and a base portion. The neck portion includes a plurality of threads, which may be configured to retain and/or secure a cap or lid. In embodiments, the threads may be blown and/or the neck portion may include a neck rib provided vertically above the threads.
Abstract: A method for reclaiming bio-based plastic material is disclosed, including providing a bio-based plastic article, the article including an identifier, determining article content information from or via the identifier, and recycling the article based on article content information. Further, a system for reclaiming bio-based plastic material is disclosed, including an apparatus or device configured to obtain or determine a bio-based material content associated with a plastic article, and an apparatus or device configured to sort the plastic article based upon the bio-based material content of the plastic article. A bio-based plastic article comprising recycled bio-based material is also disclosed.
Abstract: A plastic container and liquid dispenser apparatus includes a plastic container and a liquid dispenser. The plastic container includes a base portion, a body portion, an interior of the plastic container, and a dispenser opening. The liquid dispenser has a hollow cap and a pick-up tube. The liquid dispenser is disposed in the dispenser opening of the plastic container. The pick-up tube extends inside the body portion of the plastic container and is fixed to the hollow cap. Thus, the interior of the plastic container is in communication with the interior of the hollow cap through the pick-up tube.
Abstract: A stackable plastic container includes a base portion, a sidewall portion, and an upper portion. The base portion is configured to support the container, and includes an upwardly-extending central base portion and a base reinforcement formation. The sidewall portion extends upwardly from the base portion, and may include a sidewall reinforcement formation. The upper portion extends upwardly from the sidewall portion, and includes a shoulder portion, an angled portion, a neck portion, and a dispensing opening. The base portion may be configured to withstand hydrostatic pressure. A portion of the shoulder portion may be configured to flex downwardly in response to a top load force applied to the neck of the container. The upwardly extending central base portion may be configured to receive an upper portion of another container. With embodiments, in a stacked configuration, the upper portion of another container contacts the central base portion of the container.
Abstract: A plastic container includes a neck portion, a sidewall portion, and a base including a support ring that extends downward and is configured to support the container on a support surface; a first base portion that extends upwardly from the support ring; a second base portion that extends downwardly from the first base portion; and a reentrant portion that extends upwardly from the second base portion. In embodiments, the container can hold carbonated contents and the sidewall portion may be substantially smooth.
Abstract: A plastic container is provided that includes a hollow body portion including a lower supporting base portion; a sidewall portion extending upwardly from the base portion; and a neck portion extending upwardly from the sidewall portion. The neck portion includes a support flange having an upper and lower surface, threads, and a dispensing opening at the top of the neck portion. In embodiments, a closure may be provided to form an assembly. In embodiments, the container may be comprised of PET, the weight of the neck portion from the lower surface of the support flange to a top of the dispensing opening may be 2.3 grams or less, and/or the vertical distance from the top of the dispensing opening to the lower surface of the support flange may be 0.450 inches or less. A preform and method for making a container are also disclosed.
Abstract: The disclosure relates to ink compositions for digital printing on an external surface of a plastic article. The ink compositions comprise an ink removal-promoting additive. In some aspects, the ink removal-promoting additive can facilitate the separation or loosening of the image from the external surface of the article when the image is exposed to a liquid-based solution at an elevated temperature. Also disclosed are recyclable plastic articles having an external surface with an image printed thereon using the disclosed ink composition and methods for removing cured ink from a plastic container. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present invention.
