  • Patent number: 4116205
Abstract: A foldable hair brush includes a hollow elongated handle having an elongated opening therein for receiving a brush portion hingedly connected at one of its ends to the handle. A flange depends from the brush portion at one end thereof and extends between a bi-furcated end portion of the handle at which the brush portion is hingedly connected to the handle portion. A pin socket is connected to the distal end portion of the flange and hingedly receives a hinge pin connected across the bi-furcated end portion of the handle so that bristles extending from the brush portion can be moved from an open position through the elongated opening into the hollow interior of the handle for storage purposes. When the brush portion is disposed in a common plane with the handle portion for using the hair brush, the bi-furcated end portion provides great lateral stability for the unit.

  • Patent number: 4002258
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a child resistant closure for a container of the type including a neck finish adapted to have rotationally removed therefrom a closure. The closure includes a closure member which is applied to a container neck in a conventional manner and an overcap which is telescoped over the closure member and is normally freely rotatable relative thereto whereby removal of the closure member is normally prevented. The overcap is, however, radially shiftable relative to the closure member and there ae interlockable means carried by the overcap and the closure member which are engaged upon such radial shifting so as to interlock the overcap with the closure member and permit the transfer of a rotational force applied to the overcap to be directed to the closure member to effect the removal thereof.

  • Patent number: 3954625
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a filter which includes a plastic housing and which has an intermediate filter screen. The peripheral portion of the screen is sealed between the two housing halves by flowing a portion of at least one of the housing halves through the screen and bonding that portion to the other housing half. Further, the housing has peripheral walls which are bonded to one another after partial assembly through an interference fit and a concentrated heating of the material of the housing halves.
