Abstract: A manually, selectively attenuating earplug button is disclosed, for insertion into a cavity of an earplug of a hearing protection device. The earplug button comprises a nested configuration of a first housing member (including a first opening to receive sound from an ambient environment) and a second housing member, surrounding the first housing member and including a second opening to output at least a portion of the sound passing through an audio channel located between said first and second openings. The first and second housing members include sidewall apertures for permitting a wearer to manually adjust the amount of sound admitted to the wear's ear from said ambient environment by rotating the first housing member (and thus its sidewall aperture) with respect to the second housing member.

Such a docking platform comprises a docking accessory cavity (3, 41, 51, 60) having a docking connection system (49) comprising one or more docking connectors (4, 5, 42, 52, 56, 58) formed within the cavity, and optionally two or more electrical contacts (19) within the cavity, the contacts electrically connected to electronics within the electronic device and constructed and arranged to allow electrical connection to detachable docking accessories (6, 8, 27, 30, 31, 33, 36, 45, 61). The docking connection system is operable to form detachable attachments to multiple independent docking accessories simultaneously. The cavities of the docking platforms are shaped to accommodate a broad range of docking accessories that are specially adapted to sit in a generally flush manner with the back surface of the mobile electronic device while attached to the docking connectors.

Abstract: A lockable electric power cord adapter has a unitary housing containing male plug blade receiving member therein wherein each blade receiving member has a pivotable locking member mounted thereon. The blade receiving member has a hole therein for allowing a barbed end of the locking member to pass therethrough and engage a hole in the male plug blade in the locking position. An actuator has actuating lugs thereon which pivot the locking members to an unlocked position when the actuating member is pushed against a biasing spring.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a boat plug key system for storing, installing, and removing a boat plug consist of a canister, a canister lid, and a boat plug. The use of a boat plug key system of the present invention reduces the probability of forgetting to install the boat plug when launching the boat or removing the boat plug when taking the boat out of the water and thereby reducing the probability of damage to the boat. The present invention also serves as a key corresponding to a key slot on the boat plug enabling the installation and removal of the boat plug. Additionally, a boat plug key system embodiment of the present invention acts as a key chain and a float creating greater convenience.
