Abstract: Functionality available on an enterprise server is applied to HTML content from a remote server. HTML content is collected from remote servers including remote markup tags upon request from an end user. The HTML content for the remote markup tags is parsed and converted to content formatted for enterprise server functionality. The converted content is executed at the enterprise server. Remote server and enterprise server data are then transmitted to the end user. Tags and/or libraries may be extensible, such that they may be created or modified, and the tags may or may not be included within a supplied library of tags and/or a created library of tags, or any combination thereof.
Abstract: A hierarchical set of records has multiple hierarchical levels and depths. Each of the records has a tag that is unique within the hierarchical set of records. A method for retrieving a record includes identifying one of the records in the hierarchical set and modifying the tag, thereby producing a key. The hierarchical set of records is indexed only once. A record is selected and retrieved based on the indexing which applies the key to the hierarchical set of the records.
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for corporate portal security are provided, wherein security information corresponding to an external object imported into the corporate portal is automatically mapped from the object's native security system into the corporate portal system. For each external object imported, the corporate portal maps external users and external groups identified by the native security into corresponding portal users and portal groups according to a predefined mapping process, and stores the results in a manner that associates the external object with those portal users and portal groups. A plurality of database tables and maps determines the outcome of the predefined mapping process. Advantageously, when new external users or groups are added, they are detected by a synchronization agent which then automatically updates the database tables and maps.

Abstract: A data handling method combines search capabilities with analytical functionality. The invention provides advantages when dealing with structured documents (such as electronic catalogs, XML documents, text documents, HTML documents, Internet documents, etc.) and other data stored in a computer system. Various embodiments include simplified ways to express search/analysis requests of a data set and also to express results to such requests.
