Abstract: A trim system for securing trim adjacent an edge of a building penetration, the trim system including at least one bracket that is attachable to a wall. The bracket having a center channel having opposed first and second side walls, at least one locking wedge located along each opposed side wall, and at least one tab extending outwardly from a side wall for gauging bracket distance from the edge of the penetration. The trim system also including at least one trim piece that is attachable to the bracket, the trim including at least two longitudinally extending slots disposed within the hidden surface of the trim for receiving the at least one locking wedge located along each opposed side wall of the bracket.

The trim serves both an aesthetic purpose in adding a decorative feature to building envelopes and also adds an additional weatherproofing purpose in allowing for more complete weatherproofing of building envelope corners and openings. The system relates to a concealed fastening building finishing element system that enables concealed fastening of finishing trim.

Abstract: An interlocking siding panel comprising an upper lock portion, wherein the upper lock portion further comprises a riser segment contiguous with the back face of the panel. The riser segment transitions to a bend fully reversing direction to form a nail hem segment. The nail hem segment terminating at a first bend leading to a first riser leg transitioning to a planar segment through a second bend. The planar segment terminating at a third bend leading to a second riser leg that terminates at a fourth bend forming the proximal end of a locking leg; a front face; a back face; and a lower lock portion disposed laterally opposite the upper lock portion. The lower lock portion further comprising a lower flange and a return leg, wherein in operation the return leg of the lower portion of a first panel is inserted beneath the proximal end of the locking leg.

Abstract: A quick release clip for securing a screen in position in a frame, the clip comprising a main clip body, a first leg extending outwardly from the main clip body and bent relative to a plane of the main body, the first leg for receipt into a groove of the frame. In addition, the quick release clip includes a contact edge, the main clip body opposite the first leg terminating in the contact edge wherein the contact edge is disposed adjacent an edge of the screen applying a force to maintain the screen in position.

Abstract: Disclosed is an operating-fixed-operating window with a common frame. The window frame includes a sill with a sill lock and sill tower upwardly extending from the sill. The window frame also includes a head disposed atop the window frame, at least one jamb and at least one operating window frame. The window also includes at least one fixed window frame with a sill cover disposed atop the sill, the sill cover engaged with the sill lock and the sill tower.

Abstract: A kit for securing stone veneer panels to a structure, the kit comprising a plurality of stone veneer panels with upper and lower flanges, a plurality of brackets for securing the panels to the structure and a filler panel for placement between adjacent vertically disposed stone veneer panels to fill the gap between the panels. The brackets are secured to the structure through a bracket center mount and also utilize upper and lower wing walls to form a channel for receipt of the flange of the panels.

Abstract: A pressure stabilization device for an IGU includes a stem and a boot coupled to the stem. The stem includes an elongated shaft extending from a first end to a second end, and an element extending radially outward from the second end of the shaft, the element having a stronger magnetic attraction than the shaft. The boot includes a spout having a central bore receiving the shaft, a surface of the bore defining an interior groove, and a cap formed integrally with the spout and defining an exterior groove intersecting the interior groove of the spout.

Abstract: A lightweight foamed polymer concrete admixture for use in fabricating building components, the polymer concrete comprising a mixture of a polyol, an isocyanate, an aggregate, and water, wherein once mixed, the mixture releases carbon dioxide gas creating a foamed mixture that may be shaped to form a building component such as, but not limited to, lap siding, shake siding, trim boards, stone and stucco sheeting.

Abstract: A decorative column comprising a rigid center post, a plurality of pre-cast pieces with each piece having a hole extending therethrough so the pre-cast piece slides onto the center post and remains in place on the center post. Each pre-cast piece being stacked upon another pre-cast piece, the pre-cast pieces being of a predefined shape, and a compressible center core liner filling a portion of the hole of the pre-cast piece. The compressible center core including a cutout shape consistent with the cross sectional shape of the rigid center post thereby allowing passage of the center post through the compressible center core.

Abstract: A sash latch for retractable engagement with a side jamb of a window, the sash latch comprising an upper member with an upper surface and a lower surface, a spring cavity with a stop wall, forward and rear slots for engagement with an upper surface of the sash, an extension with a notch, the extension for retractable receipt into an opening in a side jamb of the window. The latch also includes a lower member and a plunger arm with a distal end extending outwardly from the support member, the distal end including an engagement nub, a spring with a first end and a second end for receipt into the spring cavity of the upper member, the first end of the spring for contact with the stop wall of the upper member, the second end of the spring for engagement with the engagement nub of the plunger.

Abstract: A connection system comprising an anchor connected to the window frame, a meeting rail having ends that may be snap fit to the anchor, and a single screw to tighten and true-up the connection once it is installed in the anchor. The connection system allows the meeting rail to be removed and replace from inside the building. In an alternative embodiment the disclosure details a kit for detachably securing a meeting rail to a frame jamb. The kit comprises separate anchors that are removably secured to the first and second side of the jamb frame and a profiled pin for insertion into the anchor for securing the meeting rail to the anchor and upon manual rotation of the pin the meeting rail and frame jambs are secured together.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an interlocking siding panel system for securing to the side of a structure with planar surfaces. When the panel is secured to the structure through the nail strip a full contact strip opposite the nail strip lays flat against the structure causing the panel portion below an point of inflection in the panel to raise up off of the structure creating a gap to facilitate movement of moisture past a locking leg that integrates with the panel below.

Abstract: A mullion system includes a universal reinforcement key, that joins window frame members and when anchored in a window frame opening or against other window frame joining members, contributes to bearing the load on the window frame unit. The system also includes a mull strip member with end caps designed to weep moisture away from and out of the window frame unit.
