  • Patent number: 7528566
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for controlling a voltage of a DC link for an electric vehicle, which can reduce a capacitance of the DC link interposed between an inverter and a DC/DC converter. The method for controlling the voltage of the DC link in a power system of a vehicle including a battery, a DC/DC converter, the DC link, an inverter, a motor, and a control part controlling the DC/DC converter and the inverter includes the steps of installing a compensator in a control loop of the control part such that a DC link current of the DC/DC converter follows a DC link current of the inverter, calculating a predetermined compensation term based on information of the motor inputted into the compensator, and applying the compensation term to a voltage node in the control loop of the control part in the compensator.

  • Patent number: 7166323
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of coating a porous carrier layer of metal-metal oxide and depositing an active catalyst component on metal substrates, and a monolith module useful as a catalytic reactor with low pressure drop prepared using the metal substrate having the deposited catalyst. By forming the porous carrier particle layer on the metal substrate and depositing the catalyst particles thereon, the catalyst particles are drastically increased in deposition strength and impact durability. Also, the disclosed monolith catalyst module is used for a long time while the catalyst is not detached under high mechanical or thermal impact and high conversion efficiency thereof is maintained at a desired level, due to securely deposited catalyst particles.

  • Patent number: 6506356
Abstract: A catalyst for recovering elemental sulfur by the selective oxidation of hydrogen sulfide is represented by the following chemical formula: VaTibXcOf wherein, a is such a mole number that vanadium amounts to 5-40% by weight based on the total weight of the catalyst; b is such a mole number that titanium amounts to 5-40% by weight based on the total weight of the catalyst; X is an element selected from the group consisting of Fe, Mn, Co, Ni, Sb and Bi; c is such a mole number that X amounts to 15% by weight or less based on the total weight of the catalyst; and f is such a mole number that oxygen is contained to the final 100% by weight. The catalyst can recover elemental sulfur at high rates for a long period of time without being deteriorated in activity. The high catalytic activity is maintained even when excess water is present in the reaction gas.
