Abstract: A fresh air inductor device for installation with a forced-air heating appliance ensures an adequate supply of fresh air is tempered prior to introduction to the heating appliance. Air from the supply plenum of the heating appliance is applied to the device together with outside air. The supply plenum air enters the device through a venturi tube, the decreased pressure created draws in outside air, which mixes with the supply plenum air before being introduced to the return plenum of the heating appliance. Various configuration of venturi tube within the air inductor device regulate flow rate and air mixing characteristics.
