Abstract: A tissue treatment device and method comprising a plurality of spaced-apart elongated electrodes configured to receive radio frequency (RF) signal from an RF energy source and for be inserted into tissue at a plurality of depths. The elongated electrodes having a first polarity and a single flat electrode located having a second polarity. The single flat electrode is located in vicinity of the elongated electrodes and configured for contacting the tissue surface and for receiving the RF signal from the RF energy source. An actuating mechanism connected to the plurality of elongated electrodes and configured to move the elongated electrodes in two opposite directions into and out of the tissue.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for fractional treatment of skin tissue of a patient comprising a handpiece, at least one first electrode and at least one second electrode, arranged on a base plate for applying radio frequency energy, to at least one layer of the skin, wherein the apparatus is adapted to apply electrical energy to the skin tissue with a first pulse and a second pulse following the first pulse, with the first pulse being a low energy level pulse and the second pulse being a high energy level pulse having a higher energy level than the low energy level pulse.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an apparatus (1) for fractional treatment of skin tissue of a patient. The apparatus (1) comprises a handpiece with a housing, at least one first electrode (11) and at least one second electrode (15) located on a distal end of the handpiece and an energy source, which is connected to said at least one first (11) and said at least one second (15) electrode. The apparatus (1) is adapted for applying radio frequency (RF) energy to the tissue. The at least one second electrode (15) is arranged on a base plate (13) and the at least one first electrode (11) is or comprises a pin or a needle (11), in particular a microneedle, which penetrates the base plate (13) through a through hole (17).
Abstract: A method and a system for treating skin tissue are provided. A heater is configured to modify temperature of the skin tissue, and a muscle stimulator is configured to provide muscle stimulation to a muscle layer located below the skin tissue. A handheld applicator is configured to be placed in vicinity of the skin tissue to deliver the temperature modification from the at least one heater to the skin tissue and the muscle stimulator from the muscle stimulator to the muscle layer located below the skin tissue; a control board is configured and operable to activate the at least one heater and the muscle stimulator according to respective activation pattern, thereby providing one or more treatments to the skin tissue.
Abstract: A device for providing fractional treatment of a body orifice includes a source of fractionated energy and a source of electrical muscle (EMS) energy. A programmed controller controls the application of fractionated and/or EMS energy. A probe is inserted by its distal end into the body orifice. The source of fractionated energy is positioned for transmitting fractionated energy from the source of fractionated energy through the probe to tissue in the vicinity around the body orifice; and, the source of EMS is positioned for transmitting EMS energy from the source of EMS energy through the probe to tissue in the vicinity around the body orifice. The programmed controller is configured to control the activation of fractionated energy and EMS energy one of simultaneously or sequentially.

Abstract: A cosmetic method for treating a skin of a person is presented, the method comprises inserting one or more needles to one or more depths into the skin of the person such that at least a tip of at least one needle of the one or more needles is deployed within a muscle layer of the person's skin; applying a negative DC voltage to the one or more needles, while a skin of the person is in contact with a positive electrode to form one or more closed circuits of DC current through the person's body; and providing the DC current for a pre-selected amount of time to damage and/or ablate muscles and/or muscle nerve cells in the muscle layer; thereby providing a skin treatment comprising reducing and/or smoothing wrinkles from the person's skin.
Abstract: A device for cooling the skin tissue of a patient during a procedure using energy includes a mat-like structure, the mat-like structure having a bottom wall, a top wall and upstanding walls connecting the top wall and the bottom wall, the walls defining an enclosed volume; it also includes one or more electrodes positioned to protrude from the bottom wall and extend through the volume for connection to a source of energy; further, the volume defines a space for holding a cooling substance for cooling the one or more electrodes and the skin tissue during an energy-based procedure.
