    Abstract: A blow moulded plastic container is disclosed. The container has a base with a raised central portion and a marginal portion surrounding the raised central portion. The marginal portion includes at least three spaced supporting sections adapted to support the container on a surface in use. Intervening areas of the marginal portion between the supporting sections are depressed inwardly of the container with respect to said sections, which makes for improved flow of the plastic material during moulding and results in a stronger container.
