Abstract: Delivery of diagnostic and therapeutic agents to skin or solid tumours is improved by optimisation of the lipid containing macromolecular structures (eg liposomes) encapsulating the agents and the type and amount of hydrophilic moieties bound to the exterior of the macromolecular structures as well as the relative proportions of the various lipids or other hydrophobic entities forming the macromolecular structures.
Abstract: Liposomes with covalently bound PEG moieties on the external surface which demonstrate improved serum half-life following intravenous administration are provided.
Abstract: The invention relates to fractionating a mixture of polyethylene glycol (PEG)-protein adducts having different degrees of PEG substitution by partitioning the PEG-protein adducts in a PEG-containing aqueous biphasic system according to the degree of PEG substitution. A new PEG-gm-CSF obtained by the process is useful in pharmaceutical compositions for use in therapeutic or diagnostic methods.
