  • Patent number: 10570256
Abstract: The invention relates to a fluorescent siloxane elastomer, to a method for producing same, and to the use. The fluorescent siloxane elastomer contains the following structural elements in the network structure thereof: (I) and (II) or (III), wherein: R1 and R2 are the same or different and mean, independently of each other, a methyl, phenyl, vinyl substituent or an H atom; X means a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group having 2 to 6 C atoms; A is an oxygen, nitrogen, or sulfur atom; R3 is a fluorescent dye substituent from the families of the BODIPY or BODIPY and coumarin or BODIPY and naphthalimide or coumarin and naphthalimide fluorophores. The polysiloxanes according to the invention cause a shift in the emission range out of the UV light or expansion of the emission range into the range of visible light having wavelengths of up to 800 nm, and therefore the polysiloxanes are especially suited for detectors having the maximum efficiency thereof in the range.

  • Patent number: 10476251
Abstract: A high-voltage device for receiving a high-voltage cable having a conductor designed to conduct an electrical current and a cable insulation surrounding the conductor, includes an insulation and a waveguide. The insulation includes an at least partly transparent or translucent field control unit from a siloxane polymer which is designed to at least partly surround the cable insulation of the high-voltage cable, the siloxane polymer including, in at least one portion of the field control unit, covalently bonded fluorophores and/or dielectric pigments. The waveguide is arranged such that a light signal caused by a partial discharge in the field control unit can be coupled from the field control unit into the waveguide.

  • Patent number: 7311845
Abstract: The invention relates to an adsorbent material, a method for cleaning blood and plasma and purifying albumin, and to a method for producing said adsorbent material. The inventive adsorbent material is embodied in the form of a highly cross-linked and porous spherical divinylbenzene copolymer which contains from 4 to 30 weight % of an imidazole derivative and at least 50 weight % of divinylvenzene incorporated by radical polymerization in the presence of air and/or oxygen. Said adsorbent material is embodied in such a way that it is biocompatible and suitable for removing free and albumin-bound toxic substances, drugs, pharmaceutical products, endogenic and exogenic toxins from blood, plasma, and external albumin circuits at a high rate and efficiency. The material is used in particular for adsorbing bilirubin and bile acids and is produced by suspension polymerization.

  • Patent number: 7304017
Abstract: A sorbent comprising a spherical, highly porous polymer with specific hydrophobic-hydrophilic properties, specific pore volume and its distribution, as well as a method of solid phase extraction using said sorbent. The sorbent is produced by suspension polymerization of at least one hydrophilic monomer and at least one hydrophobic monomer, where the hydrophilic monomer comprises an imidazole moiety and the hydrophobic monomer is a mixture of isomeric divinylbenzene monomers and isomeric ethylvinylbenzene monomers. The sorbent has a pore diameter range from 5 ? to 1000 ?, an average pore diameter of 50 ? to 250 ?, and a pore volume from 1 ml/g to 2 ml/g comprising 15% to 25% micropores, 50% to 80% mesopores, and 5% to 30% macropores. Solid phase extraction columns and plates packed with the sorbent of this invention provide reliable high recoveries for a broad spectrum of analytes with various polarity, even if the sorbent is dried out multiple times during the extraction.
