Abstract: A plant for metallization of a metal pipe obtained by upward vertical continuous casting and displaced vertically in a continuous manner, includes, along the path of the pipe, a metallization station having a passage for the pipe, a metallization enclosure (6), spray guns (11) mounted inside the enclosure on an oscillating plate (10) surrounding the path, means for supplying each gun with metallization material (12), and a device for causing oscillation of the support plate and for displacing the guns inside the enclosure with an oscillating movement, the frequency and angular amplitude of which ensure the formation of a coating of uniform thickness.

Abstract: A sealing device for a casting table of a machine for the continuous vertical casting along a vertical extraction axis (X—X) of cast iron pipes (T) includes a die block (5) aligned with the vertical extraction axis and a device (3) for the supply of liquid iron. Two sealing gaskets (12A, 12B) are located between the outlet from the device supplying liquid iron and the entry to the die block. The sealing device has members (6, 15, 21) for tightening the die block against the outlet of the supply device, parallel to the vertical extraction axis, in order to tighten the sealing gaskets.
Abstract: A coupler (10) for pipes is designed for end-to-end assembly of pipe elements (2,4). It contains a waterproof tubular elastomer gasket (14), an exterior collar (12) which contains a collar that is cut longitudinally and at least partially covers the gasket, and means (16) for tightening the collar to bring together its extremities and to compress the waterproofing gasket. The means for tightening contains two matched flanges (18, 20) attached to each extremity of the collar, and means (22) for fastening the two flanges one to the other.

Abstract: A ball-and-socket joint of the type where the male end (1) of a first pipe element (2) has a spherical saddle (5) designed to be inserted and pivot in a specially designed housing with a spherical profile (11) which is set on the Y--Y axis socket of a second pipe element (4). A waterproof elastomer ring gasket (16) is set in a ring groove (15) in the socket's (3) internal surface. The groove is designed and located in such a way that it forms an expansion chamber for the elastomer of the gasket during the insertion of the spherical saddle into the socket and insures, in a locked position, the pressing of the gasket on the outside surface of the saddle located beyond the maximum diameter of said saddle measured in a direction perpendicular to the axis Y--Y of the socket. The gasket is thus subjected to a residual radial compression that guarantees the waterproofness of the assembly and simultaneously prohibits the dislocation of the pipe elements.
Abstract: A multi-stage sand mold 4 defines a plurality of casting impressions or cavities 31 fed with molten metal from a tubular central chamber 28 via a pair of parallel intermediate ducts 30A, 30B extending horizontally outwardly from opposite sides of the chamber, and ingates 32A, 32B extending between the ducts and the impressions. All of the ingates fed by a single intermediate duct open into the same impression, thus implementing a balanced and uniform distribution of molten metal to the impressions.
Abstract: Adjustment device for the locking jack 9 of a molding press comprising, on a base 1, a mold 4 held by a fixed plate 2 and a movable plate 3 controlled by a rapid movement mechanism 10-13, itself connected to a fixed plate 5 via a movable plate 8 subjected to the action of the locking jack. The adjustment device includes a stem 17 which frictionally slides in relation to the base 1 and which is fitted with arms 18, 19 situated between two control contactors 15 and 16 of the locking jack and connected to the movable plate 8. The device provides automatic adjustment of the control of the locking jack 9 in accordance with the thickness of the mold.
