Abstract: A surgical extractor for extracting foreign bodies through natural or surgical passages may include a flexible tube that penetrates inside the passages, a longitudinally rigid maneuvering wire that slides in the flexible tube and maneuvers slidably via its proximal end, and wire loops at the distal end of the maneuvering wire that may adopt a trapping position and an extracting position. The wire loops are joined at their distal ends where a tongue is formed in one of the wire loops and configured as a passage through which the other wire loops can pass with play and slide to a limited extent while maintaining squareness with respect to the wire loop having the tongue.

Abstract: A device for taking a sample from a body may include a needle and a cannula for taking a sample, slides connected to springs for priming the needle and the cannula, a control button for bringing the slides to a rearward position against the force of springs so as to prime the needle and the cannula, and a trigger mechanism. The slides may have limit stops that are transversely offset with respect to one another. The control button includes a lug that can be moved transversely under the action of a displacement device and acts sequentially on the offset limit stops so as to bring the slides one after the other to the rearward position.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an endo-tracheal or tracheotomic tube for anaesthesia, comprising a tubular body for conveying the ventilation and anaesthesia gases and provided in the vicinity of its distal end with an inflatable balloon ensuring tightness, a flexible thermal shield being disposed between said balloon and the proximal end of the tube, at some distance from said balloon. According to the invention, this tube comprises an auxiliary conduit opening on the side of said shield opposite the balloon adapted to have an inert gas passing therethrough. The invention is particularly applicable to the treatment of the upper respiratory tracts by laser.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a surgical extractor for removing foreign bodies from natural passages, of the type constituted by a flexible tube adapted to penetrate in the natural passages where the body to be extracted is located, the distal end of the tube comprising a cage or basket formed by steel wires which are retractable inside the tube in the positioning phase and adapted to be opened out for imprisoning the body to be extracted, expansion being ensured by maneuvering a steel wire housed in said tube and adapted to be maneuvered from the outside, wherein the retractable cage is formed by a plurality of flexible metal wires, for example steel wires, disposed in a helical path, certain of the wires following a helix in clockwise direction, while other wires, in equal number, follow a helix in anti-clockwise direction.
