    Abstract: An apparatus for generating electricity from mains water is comprises a shaft and a rotor supported on the shaft. The rotor is rotatable in the apparatus as mains water flows through the apparatus. The apparatus also comprises spaced bearings for supporting the shaft. A stator is electromagnetically coupled to the rotor such that, as the rotor is rotated by the mains water flowing through the apparatus, it causes the stator to generate electricity.
