  • Patent number: 11857900
Abstract: A filtration element assembly for use with a cylindrical filter casing has a prismatic support body with a support body interior space. The side walls of the support body form a polygonal outer cross-sectional shape defining a circumscribed circle with a diameter less than or equal to the casing diameter. At least one side wall has an inlet flow passage with a receiving channel surrounding it. A porous filtration structure is disposed within the receiving channel so as to cover the inlet flow passage. A clamping member attached to each of the at least one side wall has a framing portion and a flange portion. The framing portion has a flow window formed there-through in registration with the inlet flow passage. The flange portion extends from the framing portion and is sized and configured for reception into the receiving channel to engage and retain the filtration element within the channel.

  • Patent number: 11020737
Abstract: A pipette tip (20) containing a rigid porous matrix (22) on which a ligand is immobilized, the ligand being capable of binding to a protein associated with chromatin; the rigid porous matrix being positioned within the pipette tip such that, in use, chromatin in a liquid sample passing through the pipette tip is retained by the rigid porous matrix is described. A method of isolating chromatin from the liquid sample using the pipette tip and the use of the pipette tip in a chromatin immunoprecipitation assay are also described.

  • Patent number: 10864474
Abstract: An illustrative aspect of the invention provides a filtration apparatus comprising a filtration element having a plurality of filtration media sheets and at least one reinforcement element positioned intermediate adjacent filtration media sheets. The reinforcement element has a body that is formed from a planar member having a plurality of apertures to allow passage of fluid therethrough. At least a portion of a surface of the reinforcement element is in contact with one of the filtration media sheets. At least a portion of another surface of the reinforcement element is in contact with the other filtration media sheet. Each of these surface portions defines a plane that is parallel to the filtration media sheet with which the surface portion is in contact.
