    Abstract: The present invention discloses a converter with cold start-up and a cold start-up method for modular power converters that allows converter operation tests to be carried out without a connection to the AC grid. For that purpose, the control module powers the power converter modules, disconnects the power converter from the AC grid, selects a power converter module as the AC-source module and configures a voltage and a frequency for the AC-source module, selects the power for the other power converter modules and sets starting conditions. Previously, the control module is powered by an AC source that can be internal or external, such as an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) or a DC source (photovoltaic field), via a DC-AC transformer.

    Abstract: The invention discloses a system and a method for dynamic over-current protection for power converters. The system can be connected to the output of a power stage and comprises: a comparator that measures an output current (IOUT) of the power stage; a control device that measures a voltage (VDC) of the power stage; a test generator that comprises pairs of voltage-current values (VDC-IREF) that relate voltage values with current values of the power stage, where the test generator receives the measured voltage value from the control device and sends the corresponding current value from the pairs of voltage-current values to the comparator, which halts the power stage if the output current of the power stage is higher than or equal to the value of the current associated with the measured voltage.

    Abstract: An integrated power supply system for auxiliary services for power converters comprises a sinusoidal filter connected between an auxiliary output of a DC-AC inverter module and an input of the auxiliary service transformer in such a way that a control module, by means of control commands, interrupts the main output of the DC-AC inverter module and enables the secondary output thereof to allow the auxiliary service transformer to generate the auxiliary AC power. The DC-AC inverter module is connectable to a DC source and supplies the power it generates to an AC network.
