Abstract: The present invention provides an outer cover to secure a printhead-ink cartridge and can be used in a segregated printhead-ink cartridge which is modified from an all-in-one printhead-ink cartridge. The inner and outer mounting and matching dimensions of the outer cover fit the outer frame edge (2) of the printhead and the printhead rack. The outer cover is an integrated cartridge holder comprising functional parts including locking tabs (4a,4b), at least one outer cover operating handle (3), at least one printhead locking tab (7), at least one printhead operating handle (5), and at least one pressing rib (6). The outer cover ensures that the ink cartridge (8) is securely mounted in the frame of printhead (1) and that the printhead is accurately positioned in the printhead rack. When the ink is depleted only the ink cartridge inside the printhead needs to be replaced.

Abstract: The invention provides a disposable ink cartridge to be installed in an existing all-in-one printhead-ink cartridge to form an assembled segregated printhead-ink cartridge for use in a printer. The all-in-one printhead-ink cartridge has a printhead with a printhead chamber from which any cover and ink-absorbent materials have been removed. The disposable ink cartridge includes an ink cartridge body, an assembly-securement member and a cartridge seal holder. The ink cartridge body further includes a cartridge housing, a cartridge cover, at least one air vent cover, at least one ink-storing foam, at least one ink-filtering foam, at least one sealing member, which are integrated into one indivisible entity fitting into the chamber of the printhead. When the disposable cartridge runs out of ink, what is needed is just to replace the ink cartridge body without replacing the printhead and the assembly-securement member, thus making the originally disposable printhead repeatedly usable.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an ink cartridge with a handle for inkjet printers. The ink cartridge includes a cartridge housing (1) having hook-avoidance grooves (2) with a proper depth and corresponding to the pulling hooks (11) of the locking cover (10) of the printhead, and a handle (3) disposed on an upper surface of the ink cartridge body (1). The structure of the handle (3) is in a form of double-folding type. Alternatively, the handle can also be in a form of single straight flip-down type construction. Because of the handle structure, the present invention is not only able to relieve the installation and removal of the ink cartridge from excessive reliance on the locking cover of the print head, but also to make the ink cartridge installation and removal more natural, positive and user controlled.

Abstract: An ink cartridge for ink-jet printer where the ink cartridge comprises an ink supply adjusting valve, air vent valve, and ink storage chamber. Ink supply adjusting valve includes an ink inlet communicates in ink fluid communication with the ink storage chamber and an ink outlet connected with ink-supply port of ink storage chamber and a valve body constructed of a film and holder thereof and in which at least two small ink chambers are partitioned and both of the small ink chambers are communicated through a small ink channel. Air vent valve is a normal-closed one-way valve controlled by elastic valve cap under the level of ink fluid inside the ink storage chamber. Under static equilibrium during operation, suction of print head causes higher negative pressure inside the ink storage chamber and air vent valve is opened by atmosphere pressure, and ink flows into the ink supply adjusting valve.

Abstract: This invention relates to an ink cartridge for ink-jet printer, comprising mainly an ink storage chamber with two individually assembled parts: an ink supply adjusting valve and an air intake adjusting valve. Ink supply adjusting valve comprises a valve body, front and rear films and a filter mesh and in the valve body at least two ink chambers communicated by means of one or more ink channels are partitioned. The ink inlet of the ink supply adjusting valve is located at the lowest recessed portion of the ink chamber, while the ink outlet is connected to the ink supply port of the ink cartridge. The air intake adjusting valve, constructed of a valve core, a valve base and a valve cover, is connected to the inlet air vent of the ink storage chamber. The working pressure of the valve is adjusted by the resilient valve core.
