Patents Assigned to Precision Interconnect, Inc.
  • Patent number: 7452222
Abstract: A cap facility for a medical cable having a terminal defining a rimmed chamber containing electrical contacts. The facility has a frame that connects to the terminal. An arm is connected to the frame, and is movable between a first closed position and a second open position. The arm is biased to the closed position, and has a cap adapted to enclose the rimmed chamber when the arm is in the closed position. The cap has an arcuate motion path between the open position and an intermediate position proximate to the closed position, and an initial motion path deviating from the arcuate path, such that the cap moves away from the rim initially upon departing from the closed position. The facility may have a camming mechanism that provides the path.

  • Patent number: 7371128
Abstract: An electrical connector has a body with a number of probes. Each probe has a spring biased pin with a contact tip, and includes a sleeve receiving the pin. Each sleeve has a first end connected to an incoming conductor, a second end connected to the body and from which the pin protrudes, and an intermediate portion suspended out of contact with the body. The sleeve may be spaced apart from adjacent sleeves, and suspended in air except at their ends. The probes may each be connected to coaxial cables, with alternating probes connected in alternating fashion to coaxial cable shields and signal conductors.

  • Patent number: 7364474
Abstract: A cable terminal or connector has several electrical probes. Each probe has a conductive sleeve defining a bore, with a probe pin received in the bore. The probe pin has a free end contact tip extending in a first direction beyond the periphery of a circuit board supporting the sleeves, with the probe pin being biased in the first direction. The probe pin includes an electrical component near the tip. The component may be a resistor and capacitor arranged in parallel, and providing the sole electrical communication between the first and second portions. The component may be mounted between flanges on each of the first and second components, and enclosed in a sleeve connected to the flanges. The second portion with the tip is relatively short compared to other components and dimensions of the probe and connector.

  • Patent number: 7271340
Abstract: A cable assembly having a plurality of wires, each having a first end and an opposed second end. A sheath including an shield encompasses all the wires. The shield is a braid formed of a plurality of braid wires, and each of the braid wires has an insulating coating. The wires of the braid may be gathered at an end into a pigtail. The insulation is removed from the wires at the pig tail. The insulation may be removed by dipping the pigtail in a high temperature solder bath.
