    Abstract: A method for controlling temperatures in hot runners of a multi-cavity injection mold, a warning method, and a control system based on those methods are provided, in which a temperature sensor is positioned at the same location as each of the cavities of the mold, one of the cavities is chosen as a standard cavity, and a standard filling time is defined. Besides, in every injection cycle, a calculating and controlling module is to calculate the differences between the standard filling time and the filling times of the cavities, and according to the differences, the temperatures in the hot runners may be adjusted by a temperature-adjusting device and a warning device may be started. So, the volumetric filling of the cavities can be balanced very quickly, the process can avoid fluctuations of external environment so as to reduce the time for product development, and the quality of production can be maintained.

    Abstract: A compliant mechanism includes a first unit, a second unit, at least one elastic member and a driver for driving the elastic member to rotate through a predetermined angle. The first and second units collectively define a passage about which the second unit is rotatable relative to the first unit. The elastic member has a plate and first and second shafts which are coaxially connected to two opposite ends of the plate respectively and rotatably connected with the first and second units respectively. The elastic member is rotatable about a co-axis of the first and second shafts and elastically deformable when the second unit rotates relative to the first unit. The elastic member can change its resistance to the rotation of the second unit by rotating; therefore the compliant mechanism has a great safety upon receiving load and is widely applicable in many fields.

    Abstract: A boomerang is made from a flat sheet material, and includes a plurality of blades connected to a central body by a plurality of interconnecting portions, and angularly displaced from one another about a center point. Each blade includes leading and trailing edges that are symmetrical relative to a middle line. Each interconnecting portion extends along a radial axis which intersects the middle line to form an obtuse included angle therewith. Each blade has a bent line that is positioned between the middle line and the trailing edge thereof, and cooperates with the trailing edge to define a bent portion which faces towards the leading edge and which forms an obtuse included angle with a horizontal plane. Varying the position of the bent lines and the included angles of the bent portions can change flight patterns and flight range of the boomerang.
