Patent number: 4842541Abstract: A female electrical connector and a male electrical connector. The two connectors are designed to interconnect in a locking relationship. The female electrical connector is an insulative housing member, formed from two parts and a locking mechanism is provided for locking together the two parts. The first of the two parts has a plurality of parallel passages and a cylindrical female contact member retained at one end of each of the parallel passages. Each of the female contact members is attached at one end to an electrical conductor and is provided with a collar proximate the other end. A resilient tang having at least one projection is provided for cooperation with the collar. A latching mechanism is provided for holding the two insulative housing members together. The second part of the female insulative housing member has a body section which is adapted to receive the first part of the female housing member. The body has a back wall with holes aligned with the parallel passages.Type: GrantFiled: May 20, 1988Date of Patent: June 27, 1989Assignee: Precision Mechanique LabinalInventor: Sergio Leandris

Patent number: 4831726Abstract: A method for manufacturing a wiring harness of the type having a preformed cable containing a plurality of conductors and arranged in a predetermined path, and having breakouts for certain of the conductors which terminate in electrical contacts at one or more predetermined locations, includes the step of molding an integral frame from insulating mateial. The frame has groups of connector housings for receiving electrical contacts, and located at positions corresponding to the locations of the breakouts, and runners that integrally connect the housings. The method also includes laying the preformed cable in an operative position on the frame so that the cable breakouts are adjacent to the groups of connector housings. After the electrical contacts are inserted into the connector housings, the runners are removed.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 1988Date of Patent: May 23, 1989Assignee: Precision Mechanique Labinal, S.A.Inventor: Jose Moly

Patent number: 4696530Abstract: A female electrical contact element is fabricated from thin sheet metal that is resilient and a good conductor of electricity. The metal sheet is cut into a blank which is adapted to be folded into an arrangement of parts at one end for connecting the female electrical contact element to an electrical conductor and into a channel at another end adapted to receive a flat male contact member. The channel portion of the female electrical contact element includes a base, two side walls and a top wall. An elongate section of the top wall extends from the end of the top wall opposite the connecting arrangement and is folded inside the channel. The elongate section has a free end folded into a catch which is hook-shaped and adapted to protrude through an opening in the base. The elongate section of the top wall also has an elongate slot with a longitudinal part and a transverse part opening into an edge of the elongate section which divides the elongate section into two tangs.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 1986Date of Patent: September 29, 1987Assignee: Precision Mechanique LabinalInventor: Bertrand Vandame

Patent number: 4467641Abstract: The device for measuring a parameter pertaining to a rotary element rotating about a shaft carried by a fixed structure, comprises, on the rotary element, at least one sensor (15) with an associated electric circuit and, on the structure, an electric energy generator (3), coupling means (6, 11) for transmitting electric energy from the generator (3) to the sensor (15) and, in return, the signals from the sensor (15) to utilization means (8, 9). The generator (3) produces electric power at a frequency lower than 100 kHz and the circuit associated with the sensor (13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20) generates a signal of high frequency which varies within a wide band between 20 and 100 kHz, the coupling being achieved by a transformer (6, 11) in the form of a rotating machine whose structure allows the passage of a wide pass band at least between the frequency of the generator and 100 kHz. This device is in particular applicable to the measurement of the pressure of pneumatic tires of aircraft undercarriages.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 1982Date of Patent: August 28, 1984Assignee: Precision Mechanique LabinalInventor: Michel Abraham
