Abstract: A docking station is provided for a portable electronic device having a keyboard portion and a display portion that is removably coupled to the keyboard portion. The docking station includes a base for supporting the keyboard portion, and a display support adjacent the base and configured to support the display portion when the display portion is coupled to the keyboard portion. The display support includes a lock movable relative to the base between a first position to engage the display portion of the portable electronic device and prevent removal of the display portion from the keyboard portion when the lock is in a locked state, and a second position to disengage the display portion of the portable electronic device and allow removal of the display portion from the keyboard portion when the lock is in an unlocked state.
