  • Patent number: 4840114
Abstract: An air outlet device is to grant in its closing position a tight closing e from whistling noises. This is to be achieved by simple means and despite component tolerances. For this purpose longitudinal gaps formed between a closure flap and seat edges before the closing process narrow towards that end of the closure flap which is remote from the actuating part. During the closing movement the closure flap is distorted elastically so that the longitudinal gaps close at first in the sections remote from the actuating part.

  • Patent number: 4823238
Abstract: An air outlet device including an air outlet channel having an open front and being located near an actuating part is provided with a plug base for a lamp behind the actuating part in a light-transmitting acceptance chamber. The lamp is to be replaceable from the front side without having to remove the actuating part toward the front. For this purpose the acceptance chamber is provided with a passage opening to the air outlet channel. The plug base is combined with a guide bead which, in the operating position, extends through the passage opening into the air outlet channel and ends at the front edge thereof as a handle. The plug base can be pulled through the air outlet channel and the passage opening out of the acceptance chamber and then be reintroduced into the latter.

  • Patent number: 4821413
Abstract: In an electric component a plastic sheath encloses conductive connections d leaves their terminal ends exposed. In order to keep the conductive connections at specific distances to the plastic sheath and to guarantee that the conductive connections are not exposed at the plastic sheath in intermediate areas, the conductive connections are secured together in spaced relation by a plastic carrier surrounding the conductive connections at spaced regions along their length. The plastic carrier has pins projecting therefrom which have end surfaces which serve to space the conductive connections a true distance from the surface of a mould in which a plastic sheath is moulded around the conductive connections and the plastic carrier. The plastic carrier and the conductive connections are encapsulated with the plastic sheath with the pins properly positioning the conductive carriers within the plastic sheath without forming any undesired openings in the plastic sheath.

  • Patent number: 4771262
Abstract: A drive means of a rotary potentiometer is arranged to work trouble-free in the case of misalignment between the rotary axis of the rotating body and the rotary axis of the driving member. Teeth are arranged in the rotating, or rotary body, the crests of which teeth are directed to the rotary axis. The driving member is adjacent to the one flank of the one tooth and the one flank of the other tooth. The flanks of the teeth are involutely rounded off, so that the applied torque remains substantially constant in event of any misalignment of the driving member axis with respect to the body axis.

  • Patent number: 4758185
Abstract: A multipoint connector provides a contact support element for holding cont blades staggeredly arranged in two rows of chambers. To simplify the structure of the multipoint connector, the contact support element comprises a first and a second support element being integrally formed with respective housing half-shells which are pivotally connected so that they can be opened, or closed upon each other. The separating surface between the two support elements is arranged such that all chambers are located in the first support element. The contact blades may be inserted into the chambers from the separating surface when the support elements are open. The second support element closes the chambers when it is closed upon the first support element.

  • Patent number: 4757164
Abstract: A pushbutton switch comprising a housing within which a pushbutton can move ith respect to a housing socket is described. Within the housing is placed a switch plunger which moves longitudinally and can also pivot through a small angle. A contact bridge, which can be pivoted in an oversprung fashion between two fixed contacts, is disposed in the housing. The placement of the contact bridge is governed by a switch rocker, which is arranged in a hinged fashion in the housing. This allows the switch plunger and switch rocker to engage. The counterbearing for the contact bridge consists of a knife-edge bearing in the switch rocker. Between the switch plunger and the switch rocker is a return spring, arranged so that in the rest position of the pushbutton, the switch plunger occupies a pivoted position remote from the middle position. The cross motion of the switch plunger is halted, depending on the direction of motion of the pushbutton, by a constraining guide on each side.

  • Patent number: 4734918
Abstract: A luminous band display device is shown for the thermometer scale-like diay of the position of a control, e.g., of a turning knob or slide, having a series of luminous segments arranged in a circular or straight pattern. The luminous segments are formed by the ends of light guides which are led out from a generally cylindrical luminous center in a star-shaped or similar pattern. The luminous center consists of a cylindrical socket receiving a light source, and a cover which carries at least one color band and which can be rotated relative to the socket by means of the control is located between the light source and the beginning of the light guide. The light guides are arranged over approximately three fourths of the circumference of the luminous center. In order for all luminous segments of the entire display scale to light in only one color even in the stop positions of the control, an outlet opening and a guide for the color bands projecting from the socket are provided.

  • Patent number: 4722765
Abstract: The present invention describes an improved reverse lamination process for reparing printed circuits with resistors, conductor strips and/or contacts integrated in the circuit. A separating layer is applied on a metallic intermediate carrier. The intermediate carrier thus coated is then printed with a conductive paste in a desired. mirror-inverted layout to provide the resistors, conductor strips and/or contacts. This is followed by the lamination which is carried out under temperature effect and under pressure, the thus laminated package comprising the intermediate carrier, an intermediate layer and the final substrate. The intermediate carrier is subsequently removed, and the separating layer is etched off. The separating layer acts as a parting agent to permit easy mechanical separation and reuse of the metallic intermediate carrier.

  • Patent number: 4702708
Abstract: The invention pertains to a plastic plug-type connector module which carr a printed circuit board made of ceramic. A plurality of plug members each have a rear projecting end soldered to a contact member made from a spring material, and have another portion embedded by injection molding in an insulating carrier body. The contact members in turn make contact with edge contact surfaces of the printed circuit board. In order to simplify the manufacture and to achieve soldering guaranteeing reliable contact, part of a perforated band from which the contact member is cut off is left in place. This part is also used to solder the contact member to the plug member. In order to align the surface of the printed circuit board as exactly as possible parallel to a first, flat surface of the module, there are provided molded locally limited elevations with different heights on a second flat surface which carries the printed circuit board.
