  • Patent number: 6109441
Abstract: Two similar urinals are nested in a package so that both urinals occupy a volume less than twice the volume occupied by one of the urinals. Each urinal has a body having a lower wall, an upper mouth, a front wall having an upper portion and a lower portion, and a back wall defining a tangent plane. The upper mouth has a margin defining a plane meeting the tangent plane defined by the back wall at an acute angle. Each urinal fits between an upper plane and a lower plane, each meeting the plane tangent defined by the back wall of said urinal at a right angle. Each urinal has a handle unitary with the body of said urinal and projecting from the body of said urinal, near the upper mouth of the body of said urinal, toward the lower portion of the front wall of the body of said urinal, so as to define a gap between the handle and the upper portion of the front wall of said urinal.

  • Patent number: 5947309
Abstract: A container made from a rigid, polymeric material, or from glass or metal, has a frusto-conical or cylindrical wall defining an outer thread and having an upper edge, which defines a sealing bead extending circumferentially and having a cross-section conforming to a circular arc of more than 180.degree.. A closure made from a comparatively resilient, polymeric material has a circumferential recess adapted to receive the sealing bead with a snap fit so as to prove a liquid-tight seal. The closure has a frusto-conical or cylindrical skirt defining an inner thread. A reinforcing bead at a lower edge of the closure skirt clears the outer thread when the closure is snap-fitted or screwed onto the container and provides the closure skirt with sufficient hoop strength to prevent the inner thread from snapping upwardly past the outer thread upon relative rotation of the closure and the container to unscrew the closure from the container.

  • Patent number: 4526172
Abstract: A unitary, one-piece multi-purpose plastic clamp is disclosed which is adaptable for a wide variety of uses. The clamp includes a pair of pivotally interconnected pincer portions, and a pair of pivotally interconnected handle portions, with the pincer portions further respectively pivotally connected to the handle portions. Movement of finger grips defined by the handle portions toward each other creates a clamping force between the respective clamping surfaces of the pincer portions. In order to maintain the clamp in a closed, clamping condition, first and second locking structures are respectively provided on the handle portions of the clamp. The first and second locking structures respectively preferably comprise at least one first locking tooth and at least one second locking tooth which releasably engage each other, and which are selectively disengagable by relative disengaging movement of the handle portions of the clamp.
