Publication number: 20130331207Abstract: A football tee combines three ball receiving recesses into a single tee. The ball receiving recesses include a first ball receiving recess for conventional kicks, a second ball receiving recess for squib kicks, and a third ball receiving recess for onside kicks. In a first embodiment, the first ball receiving recess consists of a plurality of elongated arcuate lines with each line conforming to the shape of the surface of the football near the tip. In a second embodiment, the lines are replaced by a similar number of arcuate narrow bands, each of which conforms to the shape of the football above the tip. In a third embodiment, a series of semi-spherical projections are provided, each of which engages the football in a point contact. The bottom of the first recess is open to reduce surface area of ball contact.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 15, 2013Publication date: December 12, 2013Applicant: PREMIUM PRODUCTS, INC.Inventor: H. Patent number: 8381686Abstract: A method of promoting efficient water drinking by animals uses any one of a number of container embodiments. A first embodiment of container contemplates five sub-chambers separated from one another by parallel partitions, with each partition having a small weep hole near its bottom to equalize water level in each sub-chamber. Each sub-chamber has an elongated length dimension and a width that is relatively narrow and designed to approximate the width of an animal's tongue. When an animal is drinking water from one of the sub-chambers of this embodiment, as the tongue is lapping, the sides of the tongue are close to the inner walls of the sub-chamber, thereby precluding some of the water resting on the tongue from falling off the tongue as the water is lifted into the animal's mouth. In this way, the efficiency of drinking using the lapping technique is enhanced.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 2010Date of Patent: February 26, 2013Assignee: Premium Products, Inc.Inventor: H. Jay Spiegel

Patent number: 6309316Abstract: A football tee includes one or two cut-outs in the peripheral surface, each of which is shaped to resemble the outer surface of a football adjacent its tip. Each cut-out is designed to support the football on a ground surface next to the tee to allow a kicker to perform onside kicks. The cut-outs may be formed in a tee having another diverse ball supporting structure or may be the only ball supporting structure of the tee. The tee is preferably molded of rubber or soft plastic.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 1999Date of Patent: October 30, 2001Assignee: Premium Products, Inc.Inventor: H. Jay Spiegel

Patent number: 5961407Abstract: A football is made in "regulation" size and shape for high school, college and professional football or generally proportional thereto. However, instead of having four panels and four seams as is conventionally the case, an odd number of panels and seams, for example, five panels and seams is provided. When kicking an oblate spheroidal football, the place kicker normally kicks the football at a location diametrically opposite to the location of the laces of the football. By providing an odd number of panels, the disclosed football is preferably kicked at a location where no seam is located thereby enhancing the effectiveness and accuracy of kicking. If desired, the panel opposed to the laces is reinforced with an internal reinforcing panel which internally covers the entire panel. Alternatively, two reinforcing patches are provided, each of which is located at a "sweet spot" of the football.Type: GrantFiled: January 15, 1998Date of Patent: October 5, 1999Assignee: Premium Products, Inc.Inventor: H. In either case, the weight of the reinforcement is preferably equalized to the weight of the laces so that the football remains balanced.Type: GrantFiled: November 27, 1996Date of Patent: January 20, 1998Assignee: Premium Products, Inc.Inventor: H. Patent number: 5488780Abstract: A template having a generally rectangular opening therein which is designed to have dimensions approximating the dimensions of the "sweet spot" of an oblate spheroidal football. This template is attached to a handle at one end of the handle with the other end of the handle having an attachment member designed to engage the tip of the football. In a first embodiment of the present invention, the handle is of fixed length specifically designed so that with the attachment member engaged on the tip of the football, the handle lies closely against the surface of the seam of the football so that the template may be centered over the seam and at a distance from the tip where, through experimentation, the "sweet spot" of that particular football has been located. In a second embodiment of the present invention, the handle is made of two pieces with one piece telescoping within the other piece.Type: GrantFiled: November 4, 1994Date of Patent: February 6, 1996Assignee: Premium Products, Inc.Inventor: H.
