Abstract: A method for producing pregelatinized cereal flour according to the present invention includes: a pregelatinization step of heating a slurry containing 100 parts by mass of cereal flour and 500 parts by mass or more of water under a condition that the temperature of the slurry is 90° C. or more, to pregelatinize starch contained in the cereal flour; and a drying step of drying the slurry from the pregelatinization step to obtain a solid. In the pregelatinization step, the slurry is stirred while heating the slurry. In the pregelatinization step, the slurry is preferably heated under a condition that the temperature of the slurry is 100° C. or more. According to the present invention, there is provided pregelatinized starch that can improve the taste and texture of food and impart aging resistance to the food.

  • Publication number: 20150191988
Abstract: An orientable frac ball for substantially sealing a subterranean formation. Desired orientation can be accomplished by altering the geometry of the ball with one or more features that can be molded with or added to the ball. A projection of any shape on a ball with a length plus ball diameter that is greater than the inner diameter of the well bore will prevent the ball from orienting in an undesired position on the seat. This projection can be made of various materials that break or disintegrate when desired to remove the ball from the well bore. During the pump back process in which the balls will need to move through the progressively larger sealing seats, the projection should not hinder the removal process. It will break away or off the ball during this process. Break up features can easily be added to these tail sections. These balls can be dropped with the tail down or tail up. Alternatively, a magnet placed in the frac ball can orient the ball on a metal seat by magnetic attraction.

  • Patent number: 7579574
Abstract: The invention provides molding compounds that are particularly suitable to be molded into an article such as a heating element that will conduct heat and not burn when an electric current is passed through the article. These compounds are generally liquid thermosetting molding resins which comprise a thermoset resin matrix such as a terephthalate polyester which can include blends of polyester and/or vinyl ester with a significant loading of conductive inorganic filler, typically graphite. The compositions also include flame and sound retardant additives, and glass fibers. They are further formulated to meet the desired molding characteristics; to withstand the operating temperatures to which they will be exposed; and to have a predetermined strength and a desirable user interface including appearance, and odor. Typically, the compounds will have a glass transition temperature from about 160° C. (320° F.) to about 195° C. (383° F.).
