  • Patent number: 12098717
Abstract: A pump injection arrangement can inject a medium at least one process position into a high-pressure process, in particular at least two different pressure levels. The pump injection arrangement includes injection pump apparatuses for the medium and a regulating unit coupled to the injection pump apparatuses and configured for regulating the injection by at least two of the injection pump apparatuses. The pump injection arrangement is configured for synchronized regulation of the injection pump apparatuses with dependence on one another. At least two of the synchronously regulated injection pump apparatuses are double acting bidirectionally operating high-pressure pumps that are functionally coupled with at least single redundancy to the regulating unit such that pressure can be generated via at least two shafts and the pressurized medium can be made available for injection via a joint high-pressure conduit. In this way, advantageous pressure and pumping characteristics can be achieved.

  • Publication number: 20230358583
Abstract: A method and a high-pressure system for determining a flow control variable of a fluid flow flowing through a high-pressure-side high-pressure pump outlet of a high-pressure pump are provided. An externally arranged ultrasonic measuring device measures a flow speed of a fluid flow flowing through a pipe of the high-pressure-side high-pressure pump outlet. A use of an ultrasonic measuring device is provided for determining a flow value to be achieved of a fluid flow flowing through a thick-walled pipe. The ultrasonic measuring device is arranged on the outside on the thick-walled pipe of the high-pressure pump outlet. The pipe has a ratio of the internal diameter to the external diameter of 1:1.5 to 1:5. The ultrasonic measuring device dynamically measures the flow speed of the fluid flow and transmits this measured flow speed to an evaluation unit to compute a current flow value and the flow control variable.

  • Publication number: 20180020703
Abstract: A method for the high-pressure treatment of a product, such as packaged food, for example, may involve subjecting the product to a pressure medium in a high-pressure chamber and then lowering the pressure built up in the high-pressure chamber. The lowering of the pressure may take place in one or more phases, and at least in one of the phases the lowering of the pressure is controlled based on a second parameter, which is determined based on a first parameter recorded during pressure buildup. A system for performing such high-pressure treatment may generally include a first device for supplying a pressure chamber with a high-pressure medium and a second device for lowering the pressure in the pressure chamber.

  • Patent number: 7275373
Abstract: A device uses hydraulic actuation for the closure of a vessel by a rotation-symmetric reciprocating piston mechanism of an extremely compact type, which includes a reciprocating hydraulic piston and an intensifier piston, which are in each case moved in cylinders. The hydraulic piston is driven water-hydraulically and the intensifier piston pneumatically, these two forming a direct axial functional unit via a fluid, which is located in a chamber between the lower face of the hydraulic cylinder and the upper face of the intensifier piston. The upper face of the hydraulic piston forms at least partially the plug-type closure of the vessel or is rigidly connected to a closure element of the vessel.

  • Patent number: 7104276
Abstract: High-pressure valve for high-pressure pump, which has a valve body with inlet and outlet, the cylinder chamber of the pump piston rod being connected to the said valve body. The inlet communicates with the cylinder chamber via a bore which houses a first valve seat with a valve ball. Moreover, the cylinder chamber is connected via a further bore with the outlet, said bore housing a valve seat with its valve ball. This device is characterised in that each valve seat with its valve ball is designed as ball check valve and thus forms an assembly. These ball check valves are removable from the valve body, the link between valve and valve body preferably being designed as single or multiple bolting. An ideal embodiment of the invention provides for ball check valves with external male threading and for a female threading in the recess accommodating the check valves.

  • Publication number: 20060130477
Abstract: The invention relates to a device creating a hydraulic power stroke for closing a container by means of a rotationally symmetrical lifting system in a very compact form, said device containing a displaceable working piston and a displaceable booster piston which are respectively guided in cylinders. The working piston is hydraulically driven and the booster piston is pneumatically driven, both pistons being in direct axial active communication by means of a fluid located in a cavity between the bottom surface of the working cylinder and the front side of the booster piston. The front side of the working piston at least partially forms the closure of the container or is rigidly connected to the closing element of the container.

  • Patent number: 6059259
Abstract: A force multiplication mechanism utilizing one or more upwardly open slotted conical disc springs to impart a highly amplified biasing force substantially at the center of the spring upon a force receiving member when the springs are oriented in an unrelieved, but loaded configuration. Two fulcrums are positioned, one each, proximate to upper and lower surfaces of the slotted disc springs. One fulcrum, a high amplification fulcrum, engages the upper surface of the disc spring in the unrelieved configuration causing the downwardly biasing force to be a multiple of the spring's rated force, exemplarily on the order of five times that rated force. A second fulcrum, a low amplification fulcrum, engages the lower surface of the disc spring and acts as a pivot point about which the spring transitions into the relieved configuration causing the downwardly biasing force to be relieved.

  • Patent number: 5762103
Abstract: A check valve comprising of an inlet body portion, an outlet body portion, and a resilient o-ring. The o-ring being the only moveable part is slightly stretched and sealingly contacts the exterior corner edges of an annular groove. The annular groove corner edges are concentrically aligned and of distinctly different diameters. The inside diameter area of the o-ring communicates with an inlet passage through radial holes. Inlet pressure forces the o-ring to "tilt" off of the larger diameter groove edge by pivoting on the smaller diameter groove edge, thereby allowing fluid to flow from the inlet passage to an outlet passage.

  • Patent number: 5050995
Abstract: A jet agitation system for preparation of agricultural seeding and other fluids ensures breakdown of mulch clumps and complete mixing of the seed-mulch-water mixture. The jet agitation system includes a tank with an access port at the top, a non-clogging pump coupled to withdraw the mixture from the bottom of the tank, a spray head and control valves terminating supply and return hoses and a manifold for distributing fluid to a plurality of nozzles or jets disposed within the tank. The jets are preferably positioned above the fluid level and expel liquid under pressure which breaks down the paper mulch and circulates the fluid in the tank, thereby fully mixing it. Fluid may be supplied to the nozzles or jets during spraying in order to maintain the mixture in a fully mixed state.
