    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a metered side dispensing cap system for containers such as tubes and the like. It includes a chamber unit having an inlet opening in the bottom for flow of a material from a squeezable container into the chamber. The chamber unit has an outlet opening on a sidewall located near the bottom for dispensing material from the chamber in a metered amount. A one-way valve located in the inlet opening on the bottom of the chamber unit permits flow of material through that opening and prevents backflow of material. A piston mechanism moves upwardly and downwardly within the chamber. The piston mechanism is capable of upward movement by material entering the chamber unit when a squeezable container is squeezed and material enters the chamber unit through its inlet opening. The piston is capable of downward movement when its wide top is pushed downward, so as to dispense material through the sidewall outlet opening of the chamber unit.

    Abstract: A twist and push snap-on, child resistant cap and container has an inner cap seal which is easily snapped onto a neck of a container and an outer cap. The outer cap has a top and sidewalls and has a greater cross-sectional area than the inner cap, and receives and physically restrains the inner cap within the outer cap such that the inner cap may be moved upwardly and downwardly within it over specified distance. The outer cap includes a locking lug located on its inside wall adapted to snap over a circumferential bead located on the neck of the container. There is a stop located on the inside wall of the outer cap and is freely rotatable about the neck of the container except when in contact with stop(s) on the neck of the container at its level of rotation when the outer cap is on the container. A spring mechanism located between the inner and outer cap so as to bias downwardly the inner cap.

    Abstract: The present inventon is a liquid metered dispensing container of the squeezable type. The squeezable container has an opening for dispensing liquid therefrom at one end and a bottom at the other end. A non-flexible trap chamber is connected to the opening and extends outwardly therefrom. The trap chamber has a lower end inserted into the container opening and has an inlet orifice extending from the lower end into the container. The inlet orifice is adapted to receive a dip tube which is attached thereto and extends close to or at the bottom of the container. The trap chamber has an upper end with a dispensing orifice. This is small enough to prevent dripping of liquid therefrom by gravity when the bottle is inverted but is large enough to dispense liquid therefrom when the bottle itself is squeezed. A one way valve is connected to the lower end of the trap chamber which permits liquid to flow from the container to the trap chamber but not vice versa.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a child resistance container and lid which utilizes a semi-flexible ring. The snap lid which is utilized in the present invention container is substantially set into the top of the container and this lid has one component of either an extended lift member or an indented lift guide. The ring has the other component of either the extended lift member or the indented lift guide. When the ring is rotated, the snap lid cannot be opened. The snap lid can only be opened when the ring is simultaneously squeezed and rotated. In an alternative embodiment, the two component lift system is utilized wherein both components extend outwardly rather than one extending outwardly and one indented. They have geometric configurations so that one first slides past the other and then, in their reverse motion, one lifts the other so as to lift up a lid during operation.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed toward a child resistant locking slide box that is opened by deforming a locking tab on the slide box drawer that positively engages the surrounding cover. There are tracks on the inside surfaces of the cover side walls that positively engage and slide along tracks positioned on the outside surfaces of the drawer side walls. The engagement of the cover and draw tracks allow only for the respective lateral movement of the cover across the drawer. The lateral movement of the cover allowed by the tracks is restricted in one direction by the cover end tabs, and in the other direction by the drawer locking tab.The drawer locking tab has a step that overlaps the cover surface. To open the slide box the cover tab must first be deformed backward, removing the step from above the cover, and then downward so that the whole locking tab is beneath the cover. Once the draw tab is below the cover, the drawer can be pushed past the cover, exposing the contents of the drawer.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a container for dispensing tablets in a non-reversing manner. The container includes a main container body, an actuator disk and a stop. The main container body is adapted to receive at least one stack of tablets and has an operating orifice and at least one annularly located ejection post. It is adapted to receive and rotatably hold the actuator disk so as to render it rotatable about a central axis. The actuator disk has a first recess which form a complete annulus about the central axis and is coincidental to and mates with the ejection post. The actuator disk also has a recess of width and depth sufficient to receive a predetermined number of one or more tablets, which has an inward end which is at least coincidental with the dispensing orifice when located thereunder and an outward end which is open for tablet dispensing. The container also includes a stop to assure that said actuator disk can only be rotated in one direction.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a childproof dispenser for dispensing pills to similar articles which involves an elongated tubular body and a cap member telescopically connected therewith. Both the elongated tubular body and the cap member contain dispensing orifices which are not aligned horizontally and need not be aligned vertically in the closed position. Either the cap member or the elongated tubular body contains a horizontal track and a vertical track and the other contains a protrusion which travels in the track. The cap member may be inserted into the elongated tubular body wherein the protrusion and the track fit to one another or, in an alternative embodiment, the cap member may be fitted into the elongated tubular body.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed to an ampule solution dispenser applicator. It includes a container base, a plunger, an absorbent applicator and a cover. The container base has a collar or neck adapted to receive an ampule of a solution to be dispensed and the container is adapted to hold at least half of the ampule firmly. It also has an open area which would remain open surrounding an ampule upon insertion of an ampule into the container base and it has means for removably attaching a cover thereto. The plunger is adapted to be fitted over the collar of the base and adapted to have a first position resting on the collar and adapted to be forcibly permanently attached to the collar at a second position. The plunger includes means for holding an absorbent applicator such that a portion of the applicator is extending beyond the plunger and a portion of the applicator extends below the plunger into the container base.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a metered dispensing cap system for containers such as tubes and the like. The system has a base element which is attachable to the neck of a squeezable container and which has a sidewall portion and a top. The base element has an opening in the top for outflow of a material from a squeezeable container into a meter element. This base element may be removeably attachable, e.g. by being screwed on, or may be permanently attached, e.g. by being integrally molded with the container. A one way valve is located in the opening of the base element to permit the flow of material from a container through the opening while preventing backflow. The system also includes a meter element which acts like an inverted trap and which has a sidewall portion and a top with an opening in the top for dispensing of the material therefrom.

    Abstract: The present invention involves a container and cap which is generally childproof and may be rendered non-childproof permanently. The invention involves a container having a cylindrical neck at the top and threads molded about the exterior of the neck as well as an inner cap and outer cap. The inner cap has a top and cylindrical side wall with threads molded on the inside of the side wall so as to mate with the threads of the container. The top or side of the inner cap has ratchet type segments on its outside and the outer cap has ratchet type segments on the inside of its top or side. The outer cap has a cylindrical side wall and is usually freely rotatable about the inner cap so as to be childproof. When in the childproof configuration as described, downward pressure is required by the user so as to engage the two rachet type segments and thereby engage the two caps to permit opening.
