Abstract: A length-adjustable vehicular power plug for use with a vehicular electrical appliance is disclosed. The vehicular power plug includes a plug end electrically connected to a vehicular power source for getting a power needed for the vehicular electrical appliance; a connector end electrically connected to the vehicular electrical appliance for transmitting the power to the vehicular electrical appliance; a first sleeve body connected to the plug end for supporting the plug end; a second sleeve body connected to the connector end for supporting the connector end, and slipable relative to the first sleeve body; and a positioning member for changing the relative position between the first sleeve body and the second sleeve body from a first position to a second position in response to an external force applied on the first and second sleeve bodies, and securing the first and second sleeve bodies at the second position when the external force is removed, thereby adjusting the length of the vehicular power plug.

Abstract: An electronic mouse is a three-dimensional structure composed by a bottom face, a holding face, a supporting face and a handling face. The holding face is used for fingers to grip; the handling face is used for fingers to press; the supporting face is used for a palm to prop and thereby to drive the bottom face of the mouse to move on a carried surface. A cavity is formed at an appropriate location of the bottom face, and a ball cover having a circular hole is combined to the cavity, and a ball is received in the cavity and protrudes through the circular hole to be in contact with the carried surface.

Abstract: A zoom lens barrel assembly is disclosed. The zoom lens barrel assembly includes: an outer barrel provided on the inner peripheral surface thereof with at least one key guide groove and at least one cam groove; a middle barrel fitted into the outer barrel and provided on the outer peripheral surface of the front portion thereof with at least one guide key, a flange and a circumferential groove adjacent to the flange, wherein the guide key is positioned in the key guide groove of the outer barrel; a middle guide ring rotatably mounted on the front end of the middle barrel, and having at least one penetrated hole on the outer periphery thereof and a slider way therein; and at least one cam follower pin, one end of which is piercing through the penetrated hole of the guide ring and disposed in the circumferential groove of the middle barrel and the other end of which is movable disposed in said cam groove of said outer barrel.

Abstract: A cutting apparatus providing a flat material with a curved edge is disclosed. The cutting apparatus includes a main body, a center member and an arm. The center member is mounted to the main body. The arm engages with the center member and has a cutting part thereon. The cutting part cuts the flat material to have the curved edge by rotating the arm about the center member.

Abstract: A trimming apparatus for variously trimming a sheet material is disclosed. The trimming apparatus includes a base for placing the sheet material thereon, a rail mounted on the base, a first trimming element for trimming the sheet material in a first manner, a second trimming element for trimming the sheet material in a second manner, a carriage movably engaging with the rail, having a first and a second portions coupled to the first and second trimming elements, respectively, and having a third portion for being exerted thereon a driving force to move along the rail, thereby carrying a selected one of the first and second trimming elements to cross over the sheet material.

Abstract: A control circuit for use with a switch power converter is disclosed. The control circuit includes a capacitor device electrically connected between a variable resistor of the feedback circuit and ground in series, a first divider resistor electrically connected between the variable resistor and the controlled switch circuit in series, a second divider resistor electrically connected between the first divider resistor and ground in series, and a controlled switch electrically connected among the controlled switch circuit, the first divider resistor and ground. The variable resistor has a resistance varying with a voltage value of the load. Furthermore, when an overall voltage value of the first and second divider resistors varies with the resistance of the variable resistor to switch the controlled switch for further optionally enabling the controlled switch circuit to allow the transformer with the peripheral circuit to process the energy transformation.

Abstract: The present invention provides a computer system comprising a system memory, a processor, a cryptoprogram, an I/O port, and an electronic key. The electronic key can be inserted into and removed from the I/O port and contains a programmable memory that stores passwords. The cryptoprogram is used to encrypt and decrypt programs or files stored in the system memory. Encryption of programs or files is accomplished according to a password that is stored in the programmable memory of the electronic key. During decryption, the cryptoprogram searches for the corresponding password in the programmable memory of the key and decrypts the program or file if the password is found.

Abstract: A pivot mechanism is arranged between a first portion and a second portion of an appliance. The pivot mechanism includes a first ring member, a first humpback bridge, a positioning base and a shaft. The first ring member is disposed on the first portion and having a first engaging element on the peripheral surface thereof. The first humpback bridge is disposed on the second portion and has a second engaging element on the top surface thereof, wherein the first humpback bridge is resilient and flexible. The positioning base is coupled with the second portion and has a first positioning hole.

Abstract: A viewfinder of an image-capturing apparatus is provided. The image-capturing apparatus includes a first focusing device having an adjustable focal length. The viewfinder includes a second focusing device and an image-field selecting member. The second focusing device has a fixed focal length for focusing an image to be captured on an observer's eye, and the image-field selecting member is disposed downstream of the second focusing device for adjusting an area of the image viewed by the observer's eye according to a focal-length change of the first focusing device.

Abstract: A power plug has a housing, a voltage prong, a neutral prong, and a ground prong, the prongs set in the housing, and a main body elastically set in the housing and encircling the prongs. When plugging the power plug into a socket, the main body retracts toward the housing. When unplugging the power plug from the socket, the main body is pushed outward to cover the prongs. In such a manner, only a small section of each prong is exposed to open air or the prongs are not exposed at all, increasing the safety of the power plug.

Abstract: The present invention provides a computer joystick which will convert movements of its control stick into digital signals. The computer joystick comprises a housing with an opening on its top, a control stick, and two optical sensing devices for detecting movements of the control stick in two perpendicular directions and generating corresponding displacement signals. The control stick comprises a handle installed at its top section, a ball-shaped portion installed at its middle section, and a driving mechanism installed at its bottom section. Each of the optical sensing devices comprises an optical panel comprising a plurality of light transmitting holes installed on it, a light source and a plurality of optic sensors installed at opposite sides of the optical panel, and a plurality of comparators for comparing detecting signals generated by the optic sensors so as to generate the displacement signals.

Abstract: A camera auto-focus mechanism includes a frame having a first hollow cylinder. A second hollow cylinder including metal material is fit over the first cylinder and capable of moving relative to the first cylinder. A first lens is fixed to the frame, and a second lens is fixed inside the second cylinder, both lenses being axially aligned with the cylinders. An insulated conductive metal coil is wound around the first cylinder, and a spring joins the second cylinder and the first cylinder. When current is not applied to the coil, the second cylinder is held in a first position by the spring such that the first and second lenses form a first focal length. And, when current is applied to the coil, the second cylinder is held in a second position against a force of the spring such that the first and second lenses form a second focal length.

Abstract: A plug that is firmly connected with a socket has a pair of parallel prongs and two protruded bases. One side of each protruded base has a receiving hole perpendicular to the parallel prongs. The socket has two slots corresponding to the two protruded bases. One side of each slot has a horizontal pin for inserting into a corresponding receiving hole. After the protruded bases are positioned on the slots of the socket, the plug can be rotated to insert the horizontal pins into the receiving holes.

Abstract: The image processing apparatus includes a scanner portion and a reader portion. The scanner portion is used for converting an image data of a scanned object into a digital data to be processed by a first computer. The reader portion is detachably installed in a receptacle of the scanner portion for receiving a storage medium with stored data therein, wherein the reader portion has a first connector and a second connector thereon. When the reader portion is installed in the receptacle to be electrically connected with the scanner portion, the data are transferred to the first computer via the scanner portion. When the reader portion is detached from the receptacle and has the second connector thereof electrically connected with a second computer, the data are transferred to the second computer.

Abstract: An extensive device for use with a digital camera, including a lens and a display for showing an image received via the lens, is disclosed. The extensive device includes a housing having a window thereon and a cradle for placing the digital camera therein and an optical guiding device disposed inside the housing for guiding the image received via the lens and shown on the display to the window. The window and the lens of the digital camera in the cradle substantially orient the same first direction, so that an image information is recorded via the lens and viewed via the window in the first direction.

Abstract: An apparatus for taking an electronic message from a user and actively notifying a receiver is disclosed. The apparatus includes a message input device for receiving the electronic message from the user, a message storing device for storing the electronic message therein, a message playing device for playing the electronic message, a vibration detector for detecting a certain level of vibration, a controller electrically connected to the message input device, the message storing device, the message playing device and the vibration detector, and a case accommodating the message input device, the message storing device, the message playing device, the vibration detector and the controller therein. The vibration detector sends out a trigger signal in response to the vibration, and the controller allows the electronic message to be read out from the message storing device and played by the message playing device in response to the trigger signal.

The projecting device includes a light source for generating a trichrome light beam, a cylindrical color tube for filtering the trichrome light beam into red, green and blue light beams, a driving device for rotating the color tube, an optical modulator for converting an image signal into an image and modulating the image into the red, green and blue light beams outputted from the color tube to generate a modulated light beam, and a projecting lens installed in the housing for projecting the modulated light beam onto a screen.

Abstract: A roller heating system for a laminating machine comprises a first rolling shaft and a second rolling shaft, wherein the first rolling shaft and the second rolling shaft are parallel with each other, and a heating mechanism is mounted on the respective surface of the two rolling shafts. Then, a heat conduction layer wraps up the respective surface of the above-mentioned rolling shafts as well as the heating mechanisms. When the lamination proceeds, the heat mechanisms firstly heat the heat conduction layers to a working temperature and at the same time, the first and second rolling shafts respectively rotate in a predetermined direction, and then an article covered with laminating plastic films is fed into the roller heating system. The heat conduction layers heat the laminating plastic films to melt the fusion gum of the inner surfaces of the laminating plastic films, and subsequently the laminating plastic films are forced by the compression of the first and second rolling shafts to adhere to the article.
