Patent number: 5295725Abstract: A method of forming a vehicle accessory embodying the present invention includes the provision of a fabric or other upholstery material in the shape of a container which when filled with an amorphous filler material defines an accessory such as a visor, introducing an amorphous material such as a mixture of expandable chemicals into the container so formed and allowing them to expand and cure while constraining the major sides of the container during curing thereby forming an accessory core and integral cover. Visors embodying a preferred embodiment of the present invention comprise an integral cover and structural core of an amorphous material introduced to fill the cover and which is bonded thereto. In a preferred embodiment, the cover is formed from a butterfly pattern which is folded and has edges joined with the exception of an opening at one corner and which is subsequently inverted to define the visor-shaped container.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 1992Date of Patent: March 22, 1994Assignee: Prince CorporationInventor: Bryan G. Patent number: 5294758Abstract: A switch assembly includes a housing with facing mounting surfaces on which opposed facing switches are mounted. In one embodiment, three spaced generally planar mounting members extended between end supports with actuating levers extending in the two spaces between each of the horizontally extending mounting members. Mounted in facing relationship on opposing surfaces are switches such that an actuating lever extending into a space between the opposing surfaces engage a first switch when moved in a first direction and a second switch when moved in a second direction. The actuating levers are, in the preferred embodiment, pivotally coupled by axles means to end walls supporting the switch mounting members so that they can be moved in first and second directions for actuating the associated first or second switch with each of the levers.Type: GrantFiled: April 6, 1992Date of Patent: March 15, 1994Assignee: Prince CorporationInventors: Jay M. Patent number: 5284201Abstract: The shot cylinder mechanism is moved from a position for receiving molten metal to an injection position wherein the molten metal is injected into the die cavity of the die casting machine, and vice versa. The shot cylinder mechanism is swung in open space from one position to the other as it is guided by a linkage system having a geometry that takes advantage of the constant speed of the cylinder to give faster, non-linear motion in moving from one position to the next and then at the end of the injection position, the proper force is exerted on the shot cylinder mechanism to provide a seal between the shot sleeve and the opening leading to the die cavity.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 1992Date of Patent: February 8, 1994Assignee: Prince Machine CorporationInventors: Robert Hegel, Jon R.
