Patent number: 11795679Abstract: A wastewater leaching chamber having asymmetric corrugations running transversely along the length of the chamber, where each transverse corrugation has a wide section on one side and a narrow section on the opposed side of the chamber, such that the corrugation walls run at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the chamber. The widest corrugation side of the chamber has a large straight sidewall, and the corrugation forms an arch which curve across and downward from the top of the straight sidewall to the narrow side of the corrugation at the opposing base of the chamber. The asymmetric arch is comprised of a multi radius curve from the top of the straight side to the opposing base footer.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 2022Date of Patent: October 24, 2023Assignee: Prinsco, Inc.Inventor: Brian L. Patent number: 9815229Abstract: A method of rotationally molding a large-diameter pipe fitting, the wall structure of which is characterized as having a generally smooth interior surface and an exterior surface that is defined by a plurality of axially-spaced circumferentially extending ribs which are monolithically formed and homogeneous with the smooth interior surface of the fitting. The fitting is seamless and modularly designed with integral coupling elements at each terminal end, and with a ribbed wall structure profile capable of withstanding the loads typically found in buried applications with watertight performance requirements, where such ribbed wall structure meets the following dimensions and dimensional ratios: Rib Sidewall Angle (95-105 degrees); Bottom/Top Rib Thickness Ratio (1.80-2.80); Pitch/Rib Height Ratio (1.50-1.95); Rib Height/Fitting Diameter Ratio (0.04-0.09); and Avg. Rib Thickness/Rib Height Ratio (0.28-0.40).Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 2015Date of Patent: November 14, 2017Assignee: Prinsco, Inc.Inventors: Carl Raymond Douglass, III, Joseph Dale Larkins

Patent number: 9764506Abstract: An inspection system and method for scanning and recording defects in the surface of the smooth inner wall of dual wall corrugated plastic pipe during manufacture utilizing automated laser technology, in order to minimize potential disruptions in the manufacturing extrusion process and alleviate concerns as to improper formation of the inner wall. The inspection system includes conical laser pattern generator that passes through the dual wall corrugated pipe during the manufacturing process to complete 360 degree scan coverage of the surface of the inner smooth wall of the pipe. The inspection system further includes a set of cameras properly aligned to record comprehensive three dimensional coverage of the scanned image of the inner wall of the dual wall corrugated pipe. This inspection system and method has particular benefits in the manufacture of coilable dual wall corrugated plastic pipe, where the material make-up of the polymer melt used for the inner wall has been altered.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 2016Date of Patent: September 19, 2017Assignee: Prinsco, Inc.Inventor: Carl Raymond Douglass, III

Patent number: 9662826Abstract: High flow capacity corrugated coilable dual wall plastic pipe having improved longitudinal flexibility and a bend radius sufficient to permit coiling and plowing of such pipe into the ground using automated installation equipment. The coilable dual wall pipe has an outer corrugated wall formed of a thermoplastic material such as high density polyethylene, and an inner smooth wall formed of a different more flexible and resilient thermo-bondable material that has an enhanced strain capacity and lower modulus of elasticity. The inner wall material also has enhanced mechanical properties which generally improve processing and help prevent excessive drag and tearing of the liner material during the manufacturing process.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 2014Date of Patent: May 30, 2017Assignee: Prinsco, Inc.Inventors: Carl Raymond Douglass, III, Joseph Dale Larkins, Timothy R. Publication number: 20170073093Abstract: An improved method for storing and transporting arch-shaped stormwater leaching chambers includes positioning a group of nested chambers in an inverted “arch down” configuration upon a pallet to lower the center of gravity and stabilize the load, and using a pair of spaced cradle arms secured to the pallet to cooperatively position and support the palletized chambers against sideways rolling. Tie-down straps are then drawn through the natural saddle created by the inverted chambers and secured to the pallet, thereby reducing the required length and natural stretch of the straps over conventional methods. A lower center of gravity is therefore achieved, and load stability of the chambers is maximized during storage and transportation through more centralized weight distribution and an improved tethering system, thus reducing potential for injury and damage to the chambers during handling.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 6, 2016Publication date: March 16, 2017Applicant: Prinsco, Inc.Inventor: Nathan J. Patent number: 8991830Abstract: A heat-fusible gasket for affecting a flexible seal between two adjoining components of a coupling, such as the spigot end of a section of plastic pipe and a bell coupler to be fitted thereover. The gasket has an inner core which is constructed of an elastomeric material, and outer opposing sealing surfaces that are formed at least in part of a heat-fusible material that is compatible with the heat-fusible components with which the gasket is intended to engage. The gasket is co-extruded in continuous lengths with electrically conductive heat resistance wires embedded in the outer compatibly heat-fusible layers. For annular gaskets, the co-extruded lengths of gasket material may be cut and spliced into any desired diameter gasket. Upon connection to a power source, the gasket seal is perfected through electrofusion along the opposing sealing surfaces of the gasket, thereby providing enhanced sealing capability.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 2010Date of Patent: March 31, 2015Assignee: Prinsco, Inc.Inventor: Carl R.
