  • Patent number: 10718585
Abstract: A folding stock with barrel toggle clamp has a body defining a receptacle adapted to receive the action, a clamp mechanism on the body operable to move between a released position and a clamped position, and the clamp mechanism operable to bias the barrel toward the receptacle to secure the barrel to the action. The clamp mechanism may be a multi-link linkage. One of the links may have an adjustable length. The clamp mechanism may include a lever that is flush against an external surface of the stock when in the clamped position. The clamp mechanism may include a V-block defining a channel adapted to receive a protrusion on the receiver and an angled surface on the barrel to clamp the barrel to the receiver. The clamp mechanism may include a lever pivotally connected to the body to pivot on a first horizontal axis lateral to the body.

  • Patent number: 10082353
Abstract: Drum magazines have a housing defining an ammunition passage having an outlet, a first spring mechanism adapted to bias ammunition in the passage toward the outlet, and a follower element in the passage, the follower element including a second spring mechanism adapted to generate a biasing force against a passage surface portion, such that the follower resists movement within the passage in the absence of a deliberately applied force. The magazine may be a drum magazine, and the passage may have a spiral shape. The first spring mechanism may include a control adapted to selectably change the first spring mechanism from a biasing condition in which force is applied to the follower element for motivating ammunition toward the outlet, and a loading condition in which the first spring mechanism is restrained to facilitate loading of the magazine in the absence of a biasing force.

  • Patent number: 9857132
Abstract: A rifle stock has a body defining a magazine well configured to closely and removably receive at least a portion of the magazine, the body including an actuation element proximate the magazine well, the magazine well being a passage defining an insertion axis, and the actuation element having an actuation surface portion angularly offset from the insertion axis, such that the cartridge retention element operably encounters and is moved by the actuation element upon insertion of the magazine. There may be a magazine having a body with an exterior profile sized to be closely and removably received in the magazine well, the body defining a central passage configured to receive a plurality of ammunition cartridges, the passage having an open upper end, a cartridge retention element attached to the body and movable between a first retention position, and a second released position.

  • Patent number: 9752839
Abstract: Magazines with tilt-resistant followers have a tubular body defining a passage, a follower movable within the passage, and the follower including a roller. The follower may have rollers on the front and the rear. The follower may have two rollers on at least one of the front and the rear. The follower may have a platform portion, a tine extending perpendicular to platform portion, a roller connected proximate to the platform, and a second roller connected proximate to a free end of the tine. The follower may have front and rear tines, each tine having a pair of rollers. The tubular body may define a major plane, and the roller may define a roller axis perpendicular to the major plane. The follower may define a transverse aperture receiving a pin, and the roller may be supported on the pin. The roller may include a set of ball bearings.

  • Patent number: 9605918
Abstract: Rifle magazines with release lever actuators have a magazine body defining a chamber for receiving ammunition, the body having a catch feature adapted for selectable engagement by the magazine release latch, a latch actuator element mounted to the magazine body proximate to the catch feature, and the latch actuator element being movable with respect to the body such that movement of the latch actuator element motivates the magazine release latch from the secured position to the released position. The latch actuator element maybe pivotally connected to the magazine body. The latch actuator element may have a first portion proximate the catch feature, and a second portion remote from the catch feature. The latch actuator may have an intermediate portion pivotally connected to the magazine body. The magazine may have major planar sidewalls, and the latch actuator may pivot on a pivot axis perpendicular to the sidewalls.

  • Patent number: 9410762
Abstract: The firearm stock has a body including a forend. The bottom of the forend has an elongate slot. A bipod having a plurality of legs is pivotally attached at one end of the legs to the bottom of the forend. The bipod has an unfolded position in which an opposing end of the legs extends downwards beyond the exterior contour of the forend. The bipod has a folded position in which the opposing end of the legs is received within the elongate slot with the legs substantially within the exterior contour of the forend. The opposing end of the legs may each have a notch. There may be a latch having a cam surface that is spring biased to protrude into the slot. The notches may receive the cam surface when the bipod is in the folded position, thereby releasably securing the opposing end of the legs within the slot.
