Patents Assigned to Pro/Pak Industries, Inc.
  • Patent number: 8256621
Abstract: A new load tray especially well suited for use under loads on pallets is disclosed. The tray has a central load supporting base and as many as four flaps hingedly connected to the base. The tray includes flap supports for supporting the flaps and releasably maintaining them at a 90 to 135 degree angle relative to the base. The tray is designed so that it may be positioned on a pallet and have a load placed on it so that the flaps remain in an upstanding position so that when the load is wrapped, the flaps are held captive against the load.

  • Patent number: 6042448
Abstract: An inventive valve member, and associated method of making, for use in a bag for holding a gas or liquid, the bag including a main body having a stem portion, the main body defining an interior space and formed from a front and back sheet sealed together about a peripheral edge. The stem defines an inlet aperture at a free end thereof. A valve member has a width dimension positioned in the stem for use in inflating the main body, the valve member including a flexible front layer and a flexible back layer. The front layer is adjacent to the front sheet, and the back layer is adjacent to the back sheet. Both the front and back layers define opposing elongated edges. The front and back layers are attached together along the elongated sides to form a seal. The valve member has an inlet end and an outlet end, the inlet end is adjacent to the inlet aperture, and the outlet end is positioned in communication with the interior chamber of the main body.

  • Patent number: 4551255
Abstract: An endless moving filter belt of fine mesh, woven polymeric fibers is provided through which is passed a liquid containing particles, such as from an oil cooking bath. The particles are filtered from the oil bath, and deposited on the belt. The particles are then continuously scraped off the filter belt and onto an endless moving discharge belt where they are dried and carried to waste. The filter belt is continuously flushed by hot, filtered recycle oil.The system also may be used for filtering sewage, in water clean-up, for separating water and metal particles from milling machines, etc.

  • Patent number: 4491602
Abstract: An apparatus and process is provided for cooking food which comprises advancing the food through a cooking oil bath in a tank. The oil is circulated by jet tubes through the tank at high speed to produce turbulence. This removes particles from heating surfaces in the tank and suspends them in the oil bath. The oil containing the suspension is removed from the tank, and the suspension is separated from the oil, usually be filtering. The filtered oil is then recycled to the tank. The process reduces oil loss due to contamination caused by food particles burned or otherwise, and is particularly suited for cooking breaded or batter coated foods such as poultry, meat, fish, etc., and for cooking food that has particles adhering thereto, such as turkey, meat, potatoes, tortilla chips, and so forth.
