Patent number: 10569490Abstract: A compressor arrangement for automatically compressing ground coffee includes a housing having an inlet opening and an outlet opening with a retention flap which adjusts a bulk density of the ground coffee, conveying and compressing elements arranged in the housing which are driven by a first drive device, and an adjustment device which pre-adjusts the bulk density of the ground coffee. The adjustment device includes a second drive device, a retention flap shaft, a retention flap arranged on the retention flap shaft, a transmission which is operatively connected to each of the second drive device and the retention flap shaft, and an automatic dynamic pressure adjustment apparatus which enlarges or reduce a preset of the opening angle dependent on a higher dynamic pressure or a lower dynamic pressure being exerted on the retention flap. The transmission includes a transmission device which limits an opening angle of the retention flap.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2015Date of Patent: February 25, 2020Assignee: PROBAT-WERKE VON GIMBORN MASCHINENFABRIK GMBHInventor: Tilo Lechner

Patent number: 9089160Abstract: A device for thermally treating a pourable plant product includes a receiving device configured to receive the pourable plant product and a gas supply channel configured to supply a heated gas to the receiving device. The gas supply channel is divided directly upstream of the receiving device, in a gas flow direction, into a first gas supply sub-channel and a second gas supply sub-channel which follow each other in a direction of gravity, and which are configured to supply the heated gas to the receiving device. A cross section of at least the first gas supply sub-channel is configured to be closed or reduced before the receiving device independently of the second gas supply sub-section so as to eliminate or reduce a volume of the heated gas to the receiving device via the first gas supply sub-channel.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 2012Date of Patent: July 28, 2015Assignee: PROBAT-WERKE VON GIMBORN MASCHINENFABRIK GMBHInventors: Wim Abbing, Thomas Koziorowski, Karl-Heinz Proest, Heinrich Baumeister

Publication number: 20100083525Abstract: A device for heat-treating a pourable plant product, in particular for roasting coffee beans, comprises a roasting vessel. The roasting vessel is formed by a rotor bowl and a lid device. The rotor bowl is rotated relative to the lid device about a vertical axis by means of a drive means. A hot air generator is connected to the roasting vessel via a feed channel. According to the invention, the hot air generator and the feed channel are components of the, in particular fixed, lid device.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 8, 2008Publication date: April 8, 2010Applicant: PROBAT-WERKE VON GIMBORN MASCHINENFABRIK GMBHInventors: Stephan Lange, Gerhard A. Patent number: 5718164Abstract: An apparatus for roasting vegetable bulk material, in particular coffee beam is disclosed, in which essentially all of the cooling waste air of a cooler which cools the bulk material after the roasting operation is heated to roasting-gas temperature in a heat-exchanger stage and fed to the roaster. Essentially all of the roasting waste gases are heated, in a heating stage, to an extent which is necessary for increasing the temperature of the cooling gases to the roasting-gas temperature. Since the roaster operates with a higher roasting-gas throughput than hitherto, it is possible, with comparable roasting capacity, for the roasting-gas temperature to be reduced, this resulting in a more uniform roasting result. The apparatus has reduced harmful-substance emission along with increased thermal efficiency. Also disclosed is a method of roasting and cooling bulk material by utilizing the disclosed apparatus.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 1996Date of Patent: February 17, 1998Assignee: Probat-werke von Gimborn Maschinenfabrik GmbHInventors: Hermann Finken, Gerhard Jansen, Erwin Naves
