  • Explosion door with improved magnetic latch

    Abstract: An explosion door including a frame and door panel includes an improved latch mechanism for releasably securing the door panel to the frame with a retainer bar. The latch includes a pivoting latch housing having at a free end a magnetic contact and latch stop for contacting the retainer bar. A seal between the door panel and frame includes a rigid door stop component and a resilient seal. The retainer bar is mounted to the frame to permit the spacing between the bar and door panel to be adjusted in a stepwise manner.
