Abstract: An apparatus having: a conveyor having a machine direction and a cross-machine direction and a pair of edges spaced apart from one another in the cross-machine direction; a striker having a first position and a second position, wherein the striker in the first position is located at a predetermined location above the conveyor and laterally within the pair of edges, wherein in the striker in the second position is remote from the predetermined location; a driver operatively engaged with the striker to move the striker from the first position to the second position; and a vacuum port proximal to the striker when the striker is in the first position.
Abstract: A process for creating a stable 3D pattern on a non-fibrous substrate comprises depositing a heat-expandable composition on the substrate; causing the disposed composition to expand in volume, thereby forming a 3D pattern having a perimeter; causing the composition to solidify; and applying a varnish coating over the pattern's perimeter and an area of the substrate adjacent thereto such that the varnish covers a sealing region extending at least 0.5 mm from the perimeter on both sides thereof. An article of manufacture comprises a non-fibrous outer surface having a 3D decorative pattern applied thereto and coated with a varnish coating covering a sealing region extending at least 0.5 mm from the pattern's perimeter on both sides thereof.

Abstract: A laundry scent additive having polyethylene glycol and perfume. The laundry scent additive enables consumers to control the amount of scent imparted to their laundry.
Abstract: A method for making an emulsified antiperspirant product is provided. The product has a continuous phase with a water-immiscible liquid and a disperse aqueous phase with an antiperspirant active. The method steps include providing a water-immiscible liquid; providing a volatile aqueous solution with an antiperspirant active; combining the water-immiscible liquid and the aqueous solution to form an emulsion with a continuous phase including the water-immiscible liquid and a disperse phase including the aqueous solution; providing a structurant separate from the emulsion and adding it to the emulsion to form an emulsified antiperspirant composition. The emulsified antiperspirant composition is heated to a temperature between 60° C. and 110° C. from 15 minutes to less than 2 hours. The emulsified antiperspirant composition is transferred into one or more dispensing containers. The batch weight of the emulsified antiperspirant composition may be greater than 20 kg.

Abstract: A pressurized container usable for an aerosol dispenser. The container is charged with propellant. The container may be conveniently shipped, for later product filling and/or decoration. By manufacturing the subcombination at a first location, and shipping sealed to a second location, flexible manufacture can be achieved. The second location can add locally popular product and decoration.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods for making elastomeric laminates that may be used as components of absorbent articles. During the process of making the elastomeric laminate, elastic material may be advanced and stretched in a machine direction and may be joined with one or more substrates advancing the machine direction. The methods and apparatuses according to the present disclosure may be configured to automatically isolate elastic materials that may break during the assembly process. The apparatuses may include a base member and one or more one-way snares projecting from the outer surface of the base member. The one-way snares are adapted to permit advancement of continuous elastic strands in a first direction, and are also adapted to prevent an end portion a broken elastic strand from retracting in a second direction, wherein the second direction is opposite the first direction.
Abstract: A feed system for an injection molding method and machine includes a first part including a first channel, and a second part including a second channel, the first channel and the second channel forming a molten plastic feed conduit when the first part is located adjacent to the second part. A joint is formed between the first part and the second part along the first channel and the second channel and the joint is one of a sintered joint, a welded joint, and a brazed joint.
