Abstract: An improved package, suitable for holding a treatment fluid comprising a volatile solvent and kits comprising the package containing the treatment fluid and an applicator are disclosed. The package comprises a reservoir for the liquid which is sealed by a ruturable seal. A cap, coupled to one end of the reservoir, is in the form of a sleeve which is axially translatable along the reservoir from first to second positions. A cutting tool integrated with the cap ruptures the rupturable seal as the cap is moved from first to second positions so that the liquid can thereby be made accessible through an opening in an end wall of the cap. The package provides excellent protection for volatile liquids, yet can be easily opened by a simple press-action, instantly providing access to the liquid so that it can subsequently accessed by a liquid applicator.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for making a detergent tablet, comprising the steps of: (a) providing a binder system comprising (i) a binder, and, (ii) optionally, a viscosity modifier, so that the binder system has a shear modulus value G of from 10 to 100 GPa, a phase angle value ? of at least 7°, and a melting point of at least 45° C. at 100 kPa; (b) heating the binder system to above its melting point to form a molten binder system; (c) applying the molten binder system to a base powder comprising a premix of detergent components, to form a detergent composition; and (d) forming the detergent composition into tablets. Abstract: According to the invention there is provided a strain of lactic acid bacteria of the species Bifidobacteria globosum obtainable by isolation from resected and washed canine gastrointestinal tract having a probiotic activity in animals. Abstract: The applicator is used for a placement of an excreta management device on a wearer. The applicator has a longitudinal centerline, a transverse centerline, a device facing surface and an opposing surface. The applicator comprises a handle disposed at transverse ends, a pressure portion disposed along the longitudinal centerline, a middle portion disposed between the handle and the pressure portion and a spacer. When the applicator folded into a pair of right and left pieces along the longitudinal centerline, the spacer is inserted between the right and left pieces. The pressure portion presses the excreta management device toward the wearer's skin during the use of the applicator. The opposing surface of the right piece and the opposing surface of the left piece are separated from one another at the middle portion by the spacer when the applicator is folded.

Abstract: Clear or translucent rinse-added fabric softening compositions are provided via the present invention which have reduced solvent or solvatrope levels. The composition according to the invention comprise: a) a fabric softening active; b) a principal solvent; c) a principal solvent extender; and d) the balance carriers and adjunct ingredients. Preferred embodiments include low perfume level formulations. A preferred class of principal solvent extenders includes hydrophobic oils that aids in fluidizing the system which is characterized by a freezing point of less than 22° C. for in a mixture of the principle solvent extender and 2,2,4-trimethyl-1,3-pentanediol (20%/80% by wt). These principal solvent extenders include materials such as benzyl benzoate, methyl esters derived from canola oil, and mixtures thereof. Alternatively, the preferred principal solvent extenders include cumene sulfonates, xylene sulfonates, toluene sulfonates, C6-C14 sulfonates and sulfates, and mixtures thereof.
