    Abstract: A heating apparatus for heating components to be connected to each other which are supported on a thin substrate comprises a U-shaped heating tool which is brought down on the components and a U-shaped support which engages a lower surface of the substrate. The support also absorbs the forces of the tool when the tool is pressed against the parts to be connected to each other.
