  • Patent number: 7145298
Abstract: A compact battery powered mover for heavy rollable loads, having a ventilated battery compartment incorporated into the body of the mover and a removable rechargeable ventilated battery that permits the replacement of a spent battery with a fresh battery at the work location. The mover also has incorporated into its compact design a motor controller that enables the use of a heavy current draw when needed for brief periods without developing excessive heating. The configuration of the critical components in and on the mover body permits the substitution of one critical component with another component having different operating properties without significantly changing the compactness of the mover.

  • Patent number: 6293174
Abstract: A core drive for internal drive core cutters having a non-rotating pull rod and a rotating drive plate. The core drive has a rotating element assembly that releasably couples to the drive plate and a non-rotating element assembly that is secured to the pull rod with a quick release securement. The drive is mated with a pusher so that the drive and pusher kit can be interchangeable with kits of other diameters to enable the quick changing of a mandrel to cut a core of a different diameter.

  • Patent number: 5439730
Abstract: Flowable loose packing dunnage is formed from paperboard into three dimensional particles of various shapes. Also, an apparatus for forming the dunnage employs two vertically aligned arrays of toothed, untoothed and/or cutting wheels through the nip of which paperboard segments pass and by which they are shaped into dunnage particles. Further, in a method of forming the dunnage particles, strips of paperboard are cut into segments which are formed into three dimensional shapes. A method of protecting a packed object surrounds it with the flowable loose packing dunnage made of paperboard in accordance with the present invention.
