    Abstract: A tire lifter is provided having a horizontal frame in a vertical support, the horizontal frame providing for wheel movement of the tire lifter. A drive lift mechanism is positioned within the vertical upright of the frame and includes a screw drive that is used to raise and lower a pair of support arms which cradle a tire or a tire and wheel combination. Further, the support arms which cradle the tire can also be adjusted in a forward and rearward direction to allow for easier placement of a tire relative to an automobile.

According to the wheel or tire lifter provided by the present invention, the tire to be installed can be put or placed on the wheel or tire bracket directly, so said wheel or tire bracket is driven by the said drive lift means and moved upward and downward to a desired height or position, and the tire can easily be moved to the wheel installation position of a car.

The service cart comprises features that prevent or minimize damage to the service cart, or to an object struck by the service cart, when the service cart engages another object. The protective bumpers attached to the outer side of each vertical corner of the service cart extend along at least a substantial portion of the height of the vertical corners to absorb a significant portion of an impact between the service cart and the other object. The drawer handles are attached to recessed surfaces in the front surfaces of the drawers and are advantageously bar type handles or extruded handles that comprise a gripping surface.
