Publication number: 20240091868Abstract: A pneumatic tool for joining steel decking includes a pneumatic actuator assembly which drives a push rod. The push rod is coupled to a linkage assembly including a rocker link having one end coupled to the frame of the tool, a punch arm having one end coupled to the frame, and a coupler link rotatably coupled to both the rocker link and the punch arm. At the bottom of the tool, a punching mechanism is formed. A trigger mechanism releases a flow of pressurized air into the actuator assembly, thereby driving the push rod out of the housing of the actuator assembly. Movement of the push rod causes the rocker link to rotate about a joint link, thereby driving the coupler link toward the punch arm and causing the punch to rotate about the joint link and mate with the fixed die.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 16, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Applicant: ASC Profiles LLCInventors: Stephen B. Gabrielson, Sreelatha Nandivada, David A. Golden

Patent number: 11794454Abstract: A combination of materials that may be formed through an extrusion process. The resulting product has at least two layers. By coextruding multiple layers of at least two types of materials together, the final product may have improved mechanical, thermal, electrical, and other properties as compared to the original materials used. Additionally, by using an additive, filler, or doping material in at least one layer of the final product during the extrusion process, the mechanical, thermal, electrical, or other properties of the final product may be further improved.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 2022Date of Patent: October 24, 2023Assignee: Engineered Profiles LLCInventors: Vickram Dhanapal, Brian Davis, Matthew Thomas Fenneman, Michael Kenneth Davis

Patent number: 9983098Abstract: A device for detecting the profile of the rolling surface of a rolling body, in particular a tread of a tire for a vehicle includes a light source and an optical assembly configured for processing a first light beam emitted by the light source. The first light beam is a planar light beam having a divergent course, and the light source is configured for the emission of the first light beam towards the optical assembly. The optical assembly includes at least one first refractive member configured for collimating at least one portion of the first light beam incident thereon into a measurement beam that is directed towards a measurement section of the device to impinge upon the rolling surface.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2014Date of Patent: May 29, 2018Assignee: TIRE PROFILES LLCInventors: Cesare Santanera, Marco Riccardi, Marco Omedeā², Giuseppe Zizza, Angelo Zingarelli

Patent number: 9970748Abstract: A tire tread depth measurement system includes a scanner and smart phone that fit into the palm of a user either directly or attached to a glove. The technician obtains tread depth data by moving her hand holding the scanner over a tire profile. The scanner communicates with a nearby control box that uploads the data to a server for determination of tread depth, tire wear pattern and wheel alignment. The tire tread analysis is downloaded to the control box and reported to the technician via the smart phone. The smart phone is programmed to identify the vehicle and related information about it based on the license plate or vehicle identification number by interpreting the license number or VIN and interrogating various data bases via the internet. Wear and analysis results are forwarded for printing the entire report.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 2015Date of Patent: May 15, 2018Assignee: Tire Profiles LLCInventors: David Boyle, Roger H. Tracy

Patent number: 6569108Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for real time mechanically imaging the prostate with a transrectal probe. In the method, the prostate image is synthesized and displayed in real time during the examination process. In a preferred embodiment, a compact prostate examination device comprises a probe sized to fit within the rectum and having a head with a tactile sensor longer than the axial length of an average prostate, an electronic unit and a display. As the pressure sensing part of the head is pressed against and moved over the prostate, it generates signals characterizing mechanical structure of the examined area. An accelerometer based motion tracking system is mounted in the probe for determining the position of the pressure transducer array during prostate examination. The electronic unit incorporated into the handle of the probe receives the pressure and motion data to calculate mechanical and geometrical features of the prostate and displays it on the display.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 2001Date of Patent: May 27, 2003Assignee: Profile, LLCInventors: Armen P.
