Abstract: A collar for a cooking utensil is configured to retain the utensil within the collar and hold the working end of the utensil above a countertop or other horizontal surface. In a preferred form, the collar is formed in two halves pivotally connected with one another, with an interior region of flexible material that deforms about a utensil handle to retain the handle within the collar. Magnets or other fasteners keep the collar halves joined together.
Abstract: The invention includes a container secured to a canteen body forming a bowl, with the container being selectively movable between a position in which water will flow and another position in which water will not flow from the container. Moving the container thereby allows water to fill the attached bowl for consumption by a pet. In one example of the invention, an additional dish is attached to the main dish body, with the additional dish being removable and useful as a flying disk.
Abstract: The invention comprises a dish that can be folded to a compact size for use when camping or traveling. The dish is preferably folded along a central axis via living hinges that allow the dish to be collapsed and held in a collapsed position by snaps or other fasteners. In use, the dish is unfolded and formed into a stable position.
Abstract: A slicing device that is able to cut a pie or other similar item into a number of pieces in which the size of each piece is substantially fixed prior to cutting. In the example of the invention, the pie is cut into a number of pieces in which each piece is substantially the same size as each of the other pieces. For example, the pie cutter may cut the pie into eight pieces, with each of the eight pieces being the same size. In some examples of the invention, the device can be reconfigured or adjusted so that it can cut the pie into a different number of pieces.

There is a ratchet assembly (500) driven by the lever (400) upon reciprocation for operating the traction wheel (200) and cutter blade (300), which has a ratchet wheel (510) connected with the traction wheel (200) and a spring-loaded pawl (520) movable by the lever (400) for turning the ratchet wheel (510) in a driving direction (D) upon reciprocation of the lever (400). The pawl (520) has front and rear ends (521 and 522) taken in the driving direction (D), with the front end (521) in engagement with the lever (400) and the rear end (522) engageable with the ratchet wheel (510) for turning the same.
Abstract: A fresh produce keeper includes a vessel having a floor and upwardly extending sidewalls. Holes in the floor allow the vessel to be used as a colander or strainer to rinse produce, while a lid fits over the floor to retain water within the vessel, thereby allowing the same vessel to be used for both rinsing and service or storage. An internal divider and air vent is also provided in some examples of the invention.
