    Abstract: A pipe reinforcement system for reinforcing a pipe connection, pipe section, or length of pipe. The invention is most applicable to pipe sections used in commercial, industrial, or manufacturing processes conveying abrasive materials. The pipe reinforcement system uses several interlocking tiles placed over the pipe section to produce a smooth inner surface. The edges of the tiles overlap each other, producing a leak-resistant skin. A cover which maintains air pressure within the pipe is placed over the tiles, keeping them in place and holding them against the pipe.

    Abstract: A pipe section, such as a pipe elbow, coated with a ceramic coating containing a fusible link displaced within. The link includes two exposed testing leads which are connected to a sensor which sends a signal across the link. Over time, the pipe section and the coating are worn away by material flowing through the pipe. Eventually the fusible link is severed due to the wear, signaling the sensor to send an alert, notifying that the pipe section needs to be replaced. The method of manufacture includes coating a standard pipe section with a ceramic coating, displacing a fusible link therein, and curing the coating. The coating may contain any number of fusible links in any conceivable arrangement.

    Abstract: A system and method of feeding rolled bales of hay to livestock while simultaneously storing the hay off of the ground. The hay is presented in such a way that the livestock can graze on the hay bales at will, much as they would graze in a grass field. The system of storing and offering the hay bales is modular, and may be added to or subtracted from depending upon the size of the herd of livestock. Additionally, the invention is designed to be placed along an existing fence-line for simple access to the feeding system. This allows the system to act as a simple pass-through for hay bales for feeding purposes, as opposed to requiring that bales be physically picked up and placed on a feeder for each individual feeding. A trough for water or other types of feed may also be built directly into the system.

    Abstract: A control system for a chain carrier-idler assembly which positions and controls the drive chain shifting from one drive sprocket to another drive sprocket of the multiple sprocket cluster of a derailleur drive rear bicycle wheel mechanism. A chain carrier-idler assembly has its inboard or outboard motion controlled by the positioning of a "floating" gear from a neutral position to an inboard-drive or outboard-drive position. A movable lever arm (driven by a DC motor) carries the floating gear, and also carries a series of electrical contacts which connect and disconnect with contacts on a baseplate parallel to the lever arm, thus to energize or de-energize the motor. Another movable contact (representative of the position of the carrier assembly and drive chain) moves across a series of spaced fixed contacts representative of the location of each sprocket gear. A power source, rocker switch, and connecting circuitry are provided to upshift or downshift the drive chain.
